Was really hoping this was gonna be a 4K release so I could import it - been trying to find a watchable copy of this for a few years now.

Here's hoping 88 actually does it as I couldn't find anything that even hints at them doing it so idk where that all came from.

They had the artwork in the background of a social media post about another title. People who work on these already have said 88 is doing them for Region A.

As with the HKL trailer from 2001, that suggests a much more intense movie than it is actually is. But a nice trailer, nontheless!

Are you sure about this? Eureka's Twitter post (linked in the OP) shows that they are releasing Royal Warriors and Magnificent Warriors in 2023.

He wrote 88 is doing them for region A. AFAIK Eureka! does not have branch in USA.

I didn't mean that Eureka was producing Region A releases just that they are releasing all 3 films in Region B.

I actually now see that there is a database entry for a Region A release of Magnificent Warriors by 88 Films so you are likely correct.

It's getting confusing with Eureka and 88 releasing the same titles albeit in different regions.

Oh weird, I must have missed that 88 was also releasing Yes Madam. Rushed to preorder this in excitement since I’m already region free, but I guess I’ll wait and see what difference (if any) the 88 release has before deciding which to keep. Hopefully we get that Royal Warriors announcement soon too if that’s in the pipeline for both companies.

I preordered from Zavvi. If I hear from 88 that's it's coming to the US, I'll probably switch to that one. We'll see. It's a Michelle Yeoh movie I don't think I've ever seen, so looking forward to it.

TBH, both are top companies. I think audio and picture quality will be virtually identical for the versions received from Fortune Star.

I know both companies like to find alternate versions (and alternate audios) and you might some differences there.

The main differences will be with extras like commentaries, interviews, artwork and physical items (booklet, rigid box, poster, cards).

It's funny that the Chinese credits on the Yes, Madam cover don't mention either Michelle or Cynthia.

I have been so so patient to see this one come our way in HD. I LOVE this one so much. It was a great intro to Rothrock and Yeoh to me.

I think we're at a point where companies have to be sure the product will sell. Supercop 3 finally hitting the west...in 4K? Especially how Supercop has been treated in the West? That's a moneymaker. 1 and 2 in 4k, aspects of it aside, sweetens the pot.

Dragons Forever in 4K? That one took me off guard, didn't know it was that big for this happen.

Yeah it's baffling how boring a lot of the film is and insists upon doing all it can to avoid Michelle and Cynthia in action after their introductions. At least the last action scene is good.
