He sort of has to be. He either has to be involved in the new transfer as per DGA rules, or he has to agree to not be involved. I doubt he'd do the latter.

Release it in Smilebox, since no one wants to make curved TVs anymore and no one is making user software for that kind of skewing. Would be a second UHD in the same case.

About damn time, and I pray the standard Blu-ray is remastered too. That old disc is easy to find cheap, but I’ve been holding out on something new for a long time. It’s so old, it came out when I was still in middle school.

It is inevitable to me that we'll see his other films coming to 4K too sooner or later. That's what I meant by upcoming. Not announced yet obviously.

Reservoir Dogs isn't my favorite Tarantino flick, but I'm definitely excited it's coming. But my initial thoughts mirror yours: inching closer toward PF and KB.

The Blu-ray is so bad not only am I totally confident that whatever LG puts out will be an upgrade, even a T2 level disaster, I almost feel guilty about trading it in. Perhaps I will give it to my son. Kinda feel bad about that too. lol

The old Blu-Ray was encoded in MPEG-2 at 20mbps. Anything short of Mickey Mouse, the UHD will look better.

Other countries got a better bluray with MPEG-4 AVC.

But with the 4K on the way now that's irrelevant....can't wait
