Thank you for keeping this thread updated, OceanBlue. Via Vision has become one of my favorite labels due to them offering complete series sets of shows that studios didn't bother releasing the remaining seasons of.

Thank you. The last list of new titles needed in my opinion to be split into two, due to the number of titles (over thirty). Thought best to do it that way as it would probably hurt peoples' eyes as much as it did mine after I finished the original version (one long list).

I haven't been interested in as many of the new television titles from Via Vision this year as I've been hoping for some other seventies and eighties US TV series on DVD and Blu-ray from Via Vision (towards the top of my want list are Sarge and Amy Prentiss).

They released The Bill and even though the declaration on the cover says "Whilst every care has been taken to produce the highest quality DVD release..." all they did was produce new artwork. Everything else; menu designs, presentation of episodes, printing of episode synopses is just Shock's work ported over.

So even though the show switched to 16:9 around Series 14, episodes aren't presented 16:9 till Series 19.

Via Vision have currently got a Black Friday sale on (ending two weeks today, Friday 24th November). One of the offers should apply to the DVD titles, "25% off site wide" (excludes new releases and pre-orders).

It's my own fault, but I couldn't get it straight away directly from Via Vision (during their current Black Friday sale), their DVD release of The Haunting Passion. It's now "out of stock". Have checked at Deep Discount and Amazon UK (there are some marketplace sellers selling Via Vision DVD and Blu-ray titles), and I can't see Via Vision's release listed.

I'm a bit torn as to whether to get Via Vision's Callan: The Ultimate Collection DVD boxset, or to try and get the separate Network DVD releases (a pity there isn't a picture of the list of contents and extras/bonus features in the Via Vision boxset). I have noticed on Amazon UK today that the price for the Callan boxset (Via Vision's release) has gone up.

I’m in for that Prom Night set. I have the first film on Blu-ray and MGM’s remastered DVD of the second, but I still need the other two. Prom Night III has apparent legal issues in the US, and isn’t currently available on home video or streaming here. Hopefully this will be the uncut version, since the ancient OOP Artisan double feature DVD with PN4 is the edited TV cut. I wonder which master of Hello Mary Lou: PN2 this will use: the old 4:3 VHS master that’s on almost every streaming service and Echo Bridge’s DVDs or the 2008 16:9 master that was on MGM’s DVD. For that matter, I wonder if the first Prom Night will have Synapse’s 2014 remaster.

I might contact Via Vision, asking about the Prom Night II master and which versions of Prom Night III and IV will be in their DVD boxset (I contacted them some time ago about which masters they were using for their two Ironside DVD boxsets and their response was very helpful). I have Synapse's Blu-ray of the original and that MGM DVD release of Hello Mary Lou. Knowing our luck, and something which gets said often on the forum, we'll go and get the Via Vision DVD boxset and another boutique label will go and announce a Blu-ray and/or 4K Blu-ray release of the three sequels/remaining three films in the original series.

Received an email reply from Via Vision earlier today about their Prom Night Film Collection 1-4 DVD boxset:

The films on our release of Prom Night: Film Collection 1-4 are the same as previous releases.

Prom Night 1 is in aspect ratio 1.78:1 and the other three films are in 1.33:1.

Prom Night III is the uncut version. There are no details on an uncut version of Prom Night IV.

Indirectly, your reply has been a helpful reminder. There are some new titles which have been added to the TV and New Releases section on Via Vision's website recently, but I'm going to wait until further titles are added (hopefully early in January).

Secondly, Via Vision have currently got a Boxing Day sale on. It's not mentioned on their main website page (compared to the previous Via Vision sale (but that could be because we're in the Christmas holidays (if you click on Cart on their website it explains that their fulfillment division will reopen on Wednesday 3rd January), but they posted about it on their Facebook page on Boxing Day (December 26th). The sale is running until this coming Sunday, New Year's Eve (Sunday, December 31st):

"25% off site-wide, excluding pre-orders and new release titles.

No coupon needed - the discount will activate at checkout, with orders shipping from Jan 3rd onwards."

As the Prom Night: Film Collection 1-4 DVD set was released earlier this month by Via Vision, I'm unsure if the discount will work with this title.

Any orders made between Wednesday 20th December and Wednesday 3rd January will be shipped from 3rd January onwards.

Seeing your reply, I'm considering getting this Via Vision title. But knowing our luck (and this has been said on the forum many times about films and TV series), Blu-ray releases of the three sequels will get announced next year.

Will be (hopefully) updating this thread soon with the new titles added to the Coming Soon section on Via Vision's website late last year (no further new titles have been added yet). But I have noticed on visiting their website today that the TV section has disappeared (instead it's "New Release" and "Coming Soon").

On a separate note, decided to get during Deep Discount's most recent discount code offer Via Vision's DVD release of The Haunting Passion (the cast including Jane Seymour and Gerald McRaney). The artwork on the DD listing page isn't the final artwork (you can see that on Via Vision's website (it did state "out of stock" on Via Vision's website listing page, but it's now back in stock directly from Via Vision). Thought I'd get a copy off Deep Discount while I could (ie. before it's no longer available).
