Last played:
![]() The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening When I loaded up Zelda, the last save was from 2019, so I guess I only played through it once previously. It's a decent enough game, but I again had to resort to guides as the dungeon with the pillars had me completely lost and game long item trading sequence is at points nonsensical. They want "vittles"... A Pinapple is vittles? ![]() Currently playing: ![]() No Man's Sky Then after Zelda, I swapped to NMS and loaded up my primary save. Still crashes on current version (v4.3.0) if I even dare summon my freighter. So I loaded a new save for the 'Singularity' Expedition. I almost got stuck in a game crash loop, as the Switch seemed to not like the planet of the 3rd phase of the expedition. I luckily had an old save to revert to and on 2nd attempt was able to land and quickly complete the objectives then leave the planet. The Switch version of NMS certainly has its issues, it's cool that they got the game to run at all, but it definitely feels like it's on a knife edge performance wise. Sometimes you'll land and the building/planets textures never loads in higher LOD files, so certain places can look pretty poor. Or like the planet described enough, something causing repeatable crashes. I mean I've had similar crashing issues on the PS4 version (I once had a planet where using Single Booster would crash the game, repeatable), but on PS4 you can easily backup & restore saves from PS+ or USB. On Switch, only backup is via the paid online service, so a crash loop could easily kill a save file. With only a manual + single auto save, you could easily get stuck and lose a save with 10s or hundreds of hours. |

Can't find a thread for it, but tried the DQ Monsters: The Dark Prince demo.
Not the biggest 'Monster collecting' fan, but from what I've played this is more fun than Pokemon imo, seems like could be a very addictive game as well but it's another game that makes it clear that we need a new switch. looks very bad on the tv, decent to good in handheld mode (thanks to the artsyle), but the performance is choppy that and the physical version already selling more than $60, so no reason to get it for the switch. I'll just wait for the eventual Steam release |

FF7 REbirth. But I'm not enjoying it.
Once that's finished it'll be Dragons Dogma 2. Then like a few folks over in the Shogun thread I'm gonna replay Ghost Of Tsushima. I was waiting for Rise of the Ronin but previews have been bad. |

Just finished up Sea of Stars. Decent game. Not too sure about all the Chrono Trigger spiritual successor comparisons. For not having a need to grind and not having a ton of battles the combat in this still got tiring for two reasons. Enemy animation were sometimes too robust. Also too many times even with a perfect extra damage strike I'd have an enemy with 1hp. Both caused too many encounters to be longer than they should have.
Final time was 29 hours with the secret ending. |

Finished DQ3 HD 2D Remake Thanksgiving day. Started up Mario and Luigi. Very pretty game. The load times for battles aren't as bad as some reviews made it seem. My main issue right now is I'm just kind of shutting my brain off and playing. It's not really grabbing me. Maybe because it's because I played two rpg's back to back.

Finally giving Wooly Yoshi a go. While they've never again captured the style of SMW2:YI they still know how to craft relaxing titles. And I've been in love with the hand crafted look of these Nintendo titles since the Wii U.
