Seems maybe the latter was the case, MZ added them today. They're also calling them 4K UHD DVD though, and aren't showing up when you refine the search it to just BD so that's clearly a mistake lol

Well there was a gap of three years between production on season two in 2018 and production on season three in 2021, which was probably a combination of the pandemic and Krasinski's schedule. They already renewed the series for a fourth and final season back in May, which apparently already started production.

Just a tiny little global pandemic? It's not like they're filming in a studio in one spot, they shoot in different countries, so that means they had to wait for those to open up.

Also, Amazon takes forever in general, typically finishing a year or so before finally being released.

Right now it seems like Amazon is the only source for either of these or Reacher (Best Buy never listed either Season One release and Season Two of Jack Ryan is now "sold out" before the release date), unless you to chance it with any of the DirectToU sites like DeepDiscount. It's very annoying and will likely contribute to lower sales.

They show up sporadically on MovieZyng, not sure why they keep removing them unless it's just something to do with stock... they'll be there, then remove it, then add it back as a different page. The same happened with Station Eleven. Being MOD will be iffy stock for a while anyway.

MoviesUnlimited (same company as DeepDiscount and WowHD) have just shipped season 1 and it seems to be in stock on their side. I ordered a couple of weeks ago. Season 2 hasn't been shipped yet and is still listed as Backordered.

I just got season 1 yesterday and it appears to not contain the Atmos track that was on the previous blu-ray release.

I have the Atmos Blus and I've been keeping an eye on the 4Ks. That changes things.

Is the picture an upgrade? That will be the deal breaker for me. But they are expensive compared to the blu’s and have worse sound?

It may be a misprint. Did you check the discs to see if the Dolby Atmos track are featured?

Unfortunately not, it's a 5.1 DTS HD-Master Audio mix. It's missing the foreign audio and subtitles as well. The only other audio track it contains is the English audio description track.

Wow, what a colossal blunder.

Anyone who purchased these should contact Paramount immediately to politely ask for the discs to be re-authored. It's going to be hard to support these 4K UHD releases if they are downgrades. I think Reacher is still on the cards because that Blu-ray seems to have only DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio.

It has Dolby Atmos on the Blu-ray, but not on the 4K? Now that's really screwed up.
