Although if they all decided to meet up there for old times sake that would be nice. Sam walks in. Current owner has no clue who he is...someone's sitting on Norm's stool |

I'll watch.
As someone who loves sitcoms, I've been mostly just blech with the revivals - no matter how excited I get for them - they either all go to hell (Roseanne), are mere shadows of their former selves (Murphy Brown), or just downright boring (Will & Grace, Mad About You). The ones that are any fun (Fuller House, Saved By The Bell) just get cancelled. But I'll give this a try - always liked Frasier, it wasn't my favorite show or anything, but I did grow up with Cheers, and it would be nice to see where he is, and some of that old gang from on occasion since they are back in Boston. I'm just sad that Kristie Alley is no longer with us - I'd love to know where Rebecca ended up (and it really was the best role she ever got to play). And who knows...maybe even Woody will show up to say hello - stranger things have happened. |

Sitcome lovers here also, and Frasier always battled with Roseanne as my favorite sitcom ever (Roseanne eventually won).
It is a pity that The Conners went downhill (I really loved it until season 3), I hope this revival will last longer (to my preferences of course). I really need a new sitcom. |

That said, the last time I saw a few episodes, it did hold up - yes, there are tons of late 80's/early 90's political and culture references that a lot of people aren't going to get, but the performances and the stories are still strong. It's sort of like the MTM show with an intellectual/political bend. That said...there is a reason the new version only lasted a year. It doubled down on the political, and in this current era, that's really the last thing people want to see a sitcom about. Even if you agree with the sentiments expressed, it just was like...sitcoms are about escapism, and there was no escaping constant politics. And the stories just overall weren't fun or funny, it just tried too hard - it just wasn't the right time for it. |

Thanks!
I'm almost 40s, so I think I'll get the references :P I'll try to look for it, it seems interesting! |
