I highly doubt MS will release a BD add on for the 360. The only reasons they were so gung-ho on HD-DVD was HDi and to stop Sony from winning.

They would have received royalties from HDi. BD doesn't use it so they don't have incentive to support it. Plus with the XBL Marketplace they would rather you buy highly compressed rental movies from them.

But with the way things are going the next console from MS will have to have a BD drive. Unless they try to come up with a proprietary format like Dreamcast or Gamecube did.

They lose the status quo is why it would be implemented in some form [be it the next iteration of the XBox, or another add-on].
