Funny you mentioned The Muppet Christmas Carol. I think that it was announced the fully restored extended 4K remaster version will hit Disney+ in December with a 4K UltraHD Blu-ray release and a theatrical re-release as well.

Oh nice! I didn't know it was getting a physical release too! Hope there's also a new blu ray.

I forgot to mention it's the 30th anniversary for Batman Returns as well.

#4 -11/26/22: 8-Bit Christmas (2021) - First time watch. A fun family film with a good moral story. If you're a child of the 80s you'll definitely like this.


#5 - 11/26/22: Rankin-Bass: Frosty's Winter Wonderland (1976) - Revisit. Another enjoyable Rankin-Bass special which doesn't quite re-capture the "magic" of its 1969 predecessor.

11/27 DVR Hallmark Haul out the Holly I’m not much of a Hallmark kinda guy but I really enjoyed this one especially seeing Lacey Chabert and Wes Brown together in this fun Christmasy movie that had funny moments.
A Tale of Two Christmases a slightly less enjoyable tale but still fine of a woman that gets to experience two different Christmases.

Christmas in Connecticut (1945) (First time viewing. A new Christmas staple from now on)

A Christmas Story (Was going to wait on this but was too anxious to check out the new remaster. It looks great. I'll do another viewing on Christmas)

A Christmas Story Christmas (First time viewing. Decided to take advantage of the $1.99 HBOMAX Black Friday subscription special offer for this and I'm glad I did. I thought it was really good and well done. Just wish Melinda Dillon returned. That was my only complaint really. Also would've been awesome if they filmed it in my old hometown Cleveland again but the set work was great)

The latest MCU offering is a fun treat, involving Drax and Mantis looking for the perfect Christmas present for Quill after loosing Gamora. A cheesy romp with shades of Santa Claus Conquers The Martians.

The Stingiest Man in Town (1978) *First time viewing* 1/2
A decent enough yet still enjoyable Rankin/Bass adaptation of A Christmas Carol. It felt a bit jarring with the story being heavily condensed to 45 minute plus runtime and felt some aspects missing but it overall got the crux of the story across. Walter Matthau did fine as Scrooge but nothing really memorable and the songs ranged from decent to good.
