III gets a bad rap but I think a lot of people actually quite like it. IV has some decent stuff in it but is ruined by bad execution and low budget.

Would love to see a 4K release of Supergirl too.

It's mostly Brandon Routh. I think he made an excellent replacement for Christopher Reeve. He even looks like him. I wish they would have kept him in the role but sadly it didn't happen. I know the movie did poorly at the box office but I honestly think it's second only to the original. The effects are also quite fantastic as is the sound design.

It's an interesting aspect of what threads get pulled if Superman leaves. Personal, social, economic (to a point). What lengths would people go to in order to protect or kill Superman? Lots of other little things. Yeah, it's a good movie that ignores III and IV.

Superman Returns did pretty decent at the box office, but the budget was very high.

This had better only retail for $30 for making us have to take Superman Returns.

Really? You'd complain about that over III and IV?

I'm one of the few who considers Returns to be the best film out of the original flicks aren't I?

A lot of people would love to have Superman Returns in 4k. I know I would. If it doesn't get released separately just sell your Returns disc to recoup part of the cost.

Hopefully includes Returns.

I hope we get the Oceans and Lethal Weapon movies sooner rather than later too. I hoped we’d see LW1 this year for its 35th.

The Reeve films are generally considered the "original flicks" but I think the case could be made that Returns is the best Superman movie since 2006.

Hope Returns is indeed in this. Will never watch part IV again though.

Yeah, I didn't know it was shot with digital cameras at 1080p 24. I guess all we can hope for is a really good upscale but there's definitely room for improvement from the rather mediocre, early VC1 encoded Blu-ray.

Since WB is releasing this I can't wait to see what the monkeys with crayons come up with for cover art for these films.

The actual resolution is the least appreciable upgrade anyway. The HDR and expanded color will be the big upgrades for Returns, which I think is more significant than the raw spacial detail.

Superman The Movie is a masterpiece and one of my all time favorite films. I watch it often. I enjoy the theatrical cut of Superman II and have only seen the Donner Cut once so I need to revisit it. III and IV fall in that so bad that they are good category. Superman Returns is just bad. I am still on the fence as to if I will be getting this since I already own the first film.
