Just got my Trading Places Blu-ray! - Blu-ray Forum

I want to grab it while i can but want some input as to how is the PQ and AQ on this movie? Worth a buy?

I'm looking to buy it too, but at a decent price. From what I've heard and read, it looks quite good for an 80's catalog title.

I'd like to pick this one up too, but I haven't been able to find it yet. I can wait until Paramount makes it's return though.

Man..... if only they put this movie on T.V. occassionally!!! seriously though.... Yeah, I'd buy it, just because I like the movie.

I have it, and it looks great, especially for an older movie....it certainly won't ever look better.

A few UK stores have this very cheap, under $20.

I used to rent things from Netflix to decide if I wanted to buy them or not first. To me the PQ on Trading Places has more of an immediate "WOW" factor than a lot of others that I have purchased. I love the movie anyway but it just looks so darn good in Blu. My local Best Buy had most of the Paramount titles still in stock so I grabbed the ones that I wanted but hadn't bought yet when Paramount jumped ship.

Just got my Trading Places and all I got to say is Paramount is monumentally STOOOPID!! What a great transfer they did for this movie. Awesome! I'd have to rank this one as a "must own" vintage movie wise for it's picture quality. The movie was made in 1982, released in 1983 and it looks fantastic. Too bad Paramount isn't releasing more classics like this because they obviously did a good job. Dumb arses!!! I'd buy everyone like this.....you hear me Paramount?!

I have to agree with Trading Places looking great. The standard dvd was nothing to write home about. Eddie,Dan , and Jamie and great script. Too bad Paramount gave us all the finger. What goes around ....

I snapped it up after Paramount announced the big mistake.

But,.. I didn't like it as much as I have in the past. Sure JLC's Boobs are always fun to look at but the part on the train played out like a very poor SNL skit. I guess it's just dated.
