Wow! $20 from Bullmoose. I guess that's in line with other non-Paramount Presents 4K (like Wayne's World). Amazon will probably drop the price by release date. Will be getting this along with Red Eye. Paramount is releasing some good stuff; just not good stuff
[Show spoiler](need better QC)

Funny how this lesser World disaster flick makes it to 4K before Deep Impact and Armageddon

There was some talk that "DEEP IMPACT" was getting a 25th Anniversary release this year on 4K. "ARMAGEDDON" is a long shot thanks to the Mouse, unless Criterion can license it from them.

In general, there's a 4K UHD drought of disaster films on the format. Hopefully the studios will ramp up their efforts to release more titles in the coming months. Unfortunately (along with "Armageddon"), Disney controls "The Poseidon Adventure", "The Towering Inferno", "The Day After Tomorrow" and "Volcano." But there's still plenty of disaster films with Universal, Warner and Paramount.

I bought Shout's blu of "The Core" but I'll happily upgrade to Paramount's 4K.

I know they're much more regionalized in scope of disaster, but I'd love to see Twister, The Wave, and The Impossible land on 4k.

I'm aware this is the physical forum, and with Disney's poor 4K output, the odds of this information being potentially good news is slim, BUT "The Day After Tomorrow" is available on Disney+ overseas in 4K/HDR10.

IF "Twister" doesn't make it to 4K UltraHD Blu-ray in the next few years, I'll do something stupid. THAT'S how CONVINCED I am. I am WILLING to do something STUPID!

"After 26 years, Twister will have a sequel premiering in movie theaters. It was previously reported that a follow-up film, dubbed Twisters, is currently in development. Variety now reports that Universal Pictures has given the sequel a theatrical release date of July 19, 2024."

It'll get a 4K release. The sequel is apparently coming.

Artwork is fine. No bd so I'll be keeping my old one unless they ported all the extras. Though I wouldn't be surprised this one to be barebones. Haven't watched in a while..used to be a favorite guilty pleasure of mine.

This was a critical and commercial failure and was lampooned heavily for its bad science when it came out. It does seem to be on tv a lot and it got a 4K master. Guessing it gained a decent cult following but yeah weird it gets a release before so many other movies

I was thinking the same thing, comparing the original Paramount DVD bonus features to the Shout BLU, and found myself surprised to find them identical, save for an image gallery, trailer, and TV spot. No big loss there...
