I changed the Blu-ray part to 0... hopefully a MOD approves it.

1 Blu-ray was correct, that covers BD66s and BD100s used for UHDs, it was the inclusion of Blu-ray 2D that was causing the error

Powerhouse is releasing this in the US and UK.

Give or take a day or so for occasional logistical reasons, our US and UK releases are usually scheduled for release at the same time, and this is no exception.

Quote:
BTW - I ordered mine directly from the UK Indicator site... I have personal reasons why I prefer a UK version of an Indicator release (which I won't go into here)...
In case anyone's curious, the only differences between our UK and US releases across the board are minor cosmetic ones to do with barcodes, BBFC info (irrelevant in North America), and so on. The machine-readable side of the discs is absolutely identical. as are the spine numbers - so Shiver of the Vampires will be 402 on both sides of the Atlantic.

The only exception to date has been The Triple Echo, where the UK release came out before we started distributing directly in the US, so we were able to update the US edition's booklet to reflect that director Michael Apted had sadly died in the meantime.

And while this question has been comprehensively answered already, this is to confirm that the Rollin titles are definitely separate releases, coming as either a single BD or a single UHD BD. Aside from the UHD disc containing a 4K transfer of the main feature, disc contents are identical.

I definitely figured this to be the case.

However, here is the question that I have and maybe you can answer it…

Are both the UK versions and US versions of Indicators titles pressed by the same replicators?

And if so… I assume said replicator is in the UK??

Amazon just had me approve a delay notification for this and Two Orphan Vampires — no specific date given, but hopefully for May 8th release!

I have not yet received shipping notification from Amazon so I can't say for certain they haven't been delayed.

My order for both titles from Amazon is still showing delivery tomorrow. I will be very surprised, if that actually happens.

I ordered this the day it was announced. Big mistake. My Amazon order from over a month ago now just says "Temporarily out of Stock. We are working hard to be back in stock as soon as possible" and "Not Shipped." I didn't even get a late shipping notice or option to extend.

I REALLY need to STOP using Amazon for any 4k purchases altogether, except for Shout titles which have a high possibility of being scratched and needing a quick exchange. I can no longer count the number of 4k preorders I've had to cancel and just drive to Best Buy to pick up, or re-order from Orbit or Grindhouse, or order directly from Kino on any Kino 4k new release, especially if I want anything anywhere near street date. Amazon for pre-orders has become a bad joke and a total waste of a silly effort, at least where I live in South Florida. Even worse, despite paying for Prime, they now send most of my orders out in an Amazon vendor truck, with a TBA tracking number, and instead of driving it here and delivering it same or next day like they're supposed to, they now drive around with my order for three days in their truck, then the driver returns it all the way back to their Miami hub where it originated, and then they send it back out via USPS. Because of this, I often now wait 4-5 days for anything I've been ordering with Amazon prime for next-day delivery. I'm officially done wit dat shit.

Maybe I've just gotten the "right" movies, but Shout always seems to have the same price as Amazon, anyway, and you get the poster...

This is exactly what I do as well… Shout Factory (or Scratch Factory as I call them) are the absolute worst when it comes to damaged/scratched discs right out of the box… Criterion being a close second.

I refuse to order/pre-order any SF or Criterion releases from anywhere other than Amazon… for the same reason you mentioned – easy exchange.

And frankly anymore… I avoid Scratch Factory completely unless it’s a title that is an absolute must-own for me.

At least Shout will replace a scratched disc, they’ve promptly sent me a replacement every time I’ve emailed. I wish Criterion would do the same because I have the worst luck with them.

Anyways these Rollin titles are two of my most anticipated releases of the year, preordered day 1 at Diabolik, glad to see they’re shipping!

Careful though...

There was a guy who posted a few months back on another thread... I think it was the Shout thread itself but I'm not sure... I'd have to find the post...

He said this last time that he reached out to Shout's customer service for a scratched disc... they said going forward they will now need proof the disc won't play... otherwise they won't honor a replacement. To me... this just proves that Shout is aware of the issue (because obviously they are getting inundated with replacement requests) and instead of addressing it with the replicator... they are choosing to ignore it.

Further reason for me to avoid ordering their releases... and when I have to - ordering from Amazon.

And how do you prove in an email anyway that the disc won't play?? Utterly ridiculous...

Damage is damage... when you pay for any product in life there is an expectation you will receive it undamaged. Bottom line.

Anyhow... I don't want to take up any more space on this thread about another label and its problems. Moving on...

Yeah... I was actually disappointed that no Euro Horror was announced with this most recent Indicator Newsletter that I got...

Maybe we'll get more as the summer/fall rolls along...

Note to self: always go Orbit over Diabolik.

Ordered these 2 Rollin films via Diabolik. Not a single peep about them yet, nothing on their socials.

Meanwhile, Orbit has already posted about receiving them, has already shipped out their pre-order copies, and has the leftovers up for sale on their website.

Orbit is leaps and bounds faster than Diabolik in my experience.

Diabolik told me that they were running late when I asked last week. I don’t mind waiting, I’m a patient fella. Got plenty of other stuff to watch in the meantime. I think the only big downside of preordering with Orbit is that they don’t offer cancellations in the form of store credit. I get why but at the same time, I don’t think it would actually hurt them as bad (some boutique labels are gonna sell no problem) as they think it would and I’d absolutely use the credit to make larger orders.
