Update: After not having sat down with these DVDs since they were first released, I just had a re-listen to the commentaries on all four of the CasaNegra titles included in the MM set and found them pretty entertaining. Probably not quite worth hanging on to the DVDs just for them, but fans of these films will likely find them fairly solid, fun listens.

Anybody get their orders from stateside retailers? Per Indicator, they were already being sent out as of last week through US distributors, but I this and the Ormond box set have a street date of 06/13 and Diabolik stated on reddit they haven't received their batch yet.

Haven’t gotten mine yet. Also, I hadn’t heard of a Ron Ormond box set. Crazy. I just looked it up and the one Ormond film I really want is the amazing Mesa of Lost Women, which of course isn’t included in the set. I’m making do with the ancient Wade Williams DVD, which is missing the essential pre-credits voiceover line “Have you ever been kissed by a girl like THIS?” Dammit.

Should have know better than to trust Amazon with this.
I got the same message. Ordered April 30 and now arriving July 20.
They're still selling it on Amazon so hopefully it will arrive.

They are all good, eerie black and white gothic tales except Braniac but not everybody will feel the same.

This review might help you decide

I didn't pre-order it but Amazon has the targeted ship date for 7/11 now and it's OOS at Best Buy and Walmart and listed under backorder at Deep Discount and even at a few of the boutique labels. I'm holding off until the warehouses get ahold of more or get their initial round. The Ormond box sets are actually out in circulation and seem to be in stock.

I received a shipping notice Thursday morning for this and the Ormond box from Diabolik. This set is actually one of my most anticipated purchases in quite a while. I was beginning to get a little antsy waiting for this. Hopefully everyone will be able to get theirs without too many issues.

I too had gotten the delay notification from Amazon on street date (had to be confirmed to continue with order at Amazon). Here a week later, it was delivered via UPS today! Box arrived in great shape--no tears or dinged corners!

I'll be getting this one from the local library at no charge. Here's hoping they process the holds quickly.

I ordered from Amazon but had to cancel it a day or so before street date because of a snafu with my cc. I re-ordered but was then given a delivery window of mid July to mid August. That was later updated to July 7th-10th. That may update yet again to earlier if they get stock in. This one I'm anticipating but at the same time not in too much of a hurry - got a ton of stuff to try to get through. It feels like I'm stocking up for WWIII lol.

Got mine yesterday. Best these films have ever looked or sounded; beautiful. Nice extras too. My one minor quibble is that I don’t really like digipaks and would have much preferred slimline cases. Regardless, I’m very glad to have this set!

Now, howzabout a few follow-up volumes containing some of the following:

The Man Without a Face (1950)
The Revived Monster (1953)
The Witch (1954)
The Aztec Mummy (1957)
Curse of the Aztec Mummy (1957)
The Robot Vs. The Aztec Mummy (1957)
The Vampire (1957)
The Vampire’s Coffin (1957)
The Man and the Monster (1958)
The Living Coffin (1959)
Curse of the Doll People (1960)
World of the Vampires (1961)
The Curse of Nostradamus (1961)
The Monster Demolisher (1961)
The Genie of Darkness (1962)
The Blood of Nostradamus (1962)
Spiritism (1962)
Santo Vs. the Vampire Women (1962)
The Bloody Vampire (1962)
Invasion of the Vampires (1963)
The Living Head (1963)
Doctor of Doom (1963)
Wrestling Women Vs. the Aztec Mummy (1964)

Ah, yes, I forgot about that release. I think I must have boycotted it because it didn’t include the first bloody film. Oh well, I guess I’ll begrudgingly pick it up and still hang onto my old BCI Aztec Mummy DVD box set, for the first film and the cool-as-all-hell spooky animated menus.

The framing for The Brainiac is much different on the new set. Here is a comparison between the CasaNegra DVD and the Indicator Blu of The Brainiac. The CasaNegra has more headroom and footroom, but is missing info from the sides that is present in the Indicator. I think I would have preferred to keep the extra sides info and add at least some of the headroom and footroom back, as the paintings that form the backdrop of the opening credits are cropped off. I’m definitely hanging on to my CasaNegra DVD of this title for the alternate aspect ratio. The other films in the set are still 1.37:1.
