Movies really used to look like something before the tragic arrival of HD and 4K remasters.

The trailer was in 4k and it looks like a well done 4k transfer.
I pre-ordered the steelbook....looks very nice.

It's StudioCanal, so it'll probably get a UK and France release as well.

Ah, Cutthroat Island - the film that helped sink Carolco. What a fabulously decadent era that was. Like Cannon, Carolco was run by two dudes in love with movies who gave everybody blank checks to make movies their way. It ultimately caused the studios' demise, but, by golly, what a spectacular run they had.

I've never seen Cutthroat Island. I have a mild interest in it but I don't want to spend upwards of thirty bucks for it.

Nice. Cancelled at fnac and just ordered at Plaion instead. Nothing wrong with fnac, but prefer DHL over DPD and the shorter route re. the steel.

I'm just gonna say both look equally horrible in their own unique ways, the colors are drab on the Lionsgate BD yes (though the bigger problem to me is the huge amount of DNR it has), but they look WAY too artificially boosted on the SC version and in general looks like a sh-tty VHS-era telcine transfer

This movie needs a remaster BADLY
