Memories of Murder (2003). It didn't occur to me to see if the director had made any other films, I didn't feel his presence, just that I was where I wanted to be in every moment. Beautiful score, performances, perfect ending as well.

Dark Knight pretty damn near perfect, except for that dumb boat scene. Made no sense.
