I don’t know if I really “need” this but I surely “want” it.

It hard to justify since there won’t be any real audio/video upgrade. I don’t seem to recall there being much of an upgrade with The Green Knight but correct me if I’m wrong.

I really like the movie but I'll stick with the standard. Would it kill A24 to have direct/in-house standard release to go with the special editions? Why not offer something like their Lamb packaging and then a big slipbox version for people that want something extra? I just can't do the big boxes...

I signed up for a month of AAA24 since the membership will pay for itself between this and a few other things I want to get. For some reason I'm still not finding this anywhere on the site.

Two questions for the SpecialEdition:
1. Aspect ratio 2.00:1? Wasn't it 1.85:1 (for the "highest" parts of the movie at least)?
2. Runtime 171 minutes? Half an hour more? Really? Or is this counting in the runtime of new extras?

Got to admire A24 on their insistence to never provide free shipping, no matter whether you're a member to their special club or if you buy a bunch of stuff. Same flat fee for everyone. Very egalitarian. In any case I'm excited for this special edition and I also bought the Daniel Kwan kids books for my son. They look great and I know he is going to love them. I want a movie version of 24 Minutes to Bedtime!.

The listing is pretty bad descriptor. I had to get a closer look at the disc picture itself to figure out if there were any specific differences between the Lionsgate disc and this one.

The shorts are 3 and 12 minutes respectively. I dunno where the other 15 minutes are. Maybe the mini docs? The feature itself is still advertised as 139 on the disc.

I was confused too, then I realized that they must've accidentally copied the specs for Midsommar. They're exactly the same.

can someone please confirm this has everything on the Lionsgate 4K? from what I can see it has an exclusive commentary, 2 mini documentaries, 2 short films, all that over Lionsgate.

both releases share deleted scenes and outtakes.

then Lionsgate has 3 lengthy EPK's that aren't listed on the A24 edition?

I'm glad they're giving out a discount for members. I thought it was weird we didn't get one when I signed up.

In my opinion, 10% discount is terrible. I'd rather have their rotating 20-30% off select categories that they did last year each month. Picked up a few screenplays for 30% off. What also sucks is the app they just released isn't on android, only apple.

Almost Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Everything Everywhere All At Once felt more substantial than an EPK to me.

The photos on the website certainly seem to suggest that around 75 minutes of video content is exclusive to the Lionsgate disc, as the special features are not only listed on the site but actually written on the packaging as part of the art/design, and those additional video extras are not mentioned. Wouldn't totally surprise me if those extras belong to Lionsgate and/or a third party behind-the-scenes company rather than A24 and A24 did not want to pay to license them.

It's not going to be possible to confirm until the disc is in-hand, though.

Not impressed with this package, which is a shame too because this is a good movie I would love to have in the collection. Don't like folders and a bunch of pieces of paper...not to mention 2 'mini' documentaries? Probably a total of 5 minutes together.

Do better A24.

I received mine this morning. I probably didn't need to buy this as I already had the original 4K release but it goes so well with my other A24 editions.

The packaging is nice. The included folder with the documents kinda reminds me of an old Memento DVD release that I used to have.
