Default X-Men and Blu-ray advertised on Star Wars official site

http://starwars.com/episode-iv/relea...s20061120.html

Okay it's not Star Wars itself, but pretty cool to see a Blu-ray ad on a "Lucas Online website."

This will be on a 2 Blu-ray disc set with DTS-HD Master Audio.
Disc 1: Star Wars Trilogy Episodes IV-VI (150GB 6 layer Blu-ray disc)
Disc 2: Star Wars Trilogy Episodes I-III (150GB 6 layer Blu-ray disc)

Because Blu-ray rules.

doubtful... if i remember correctly, doesn't the movie spec only allow for 50 GB discs?

Yes, I thought the smiley would have given away that it was a joke.
It will be interesting to see though, now that TDK have made 6 layer Blu-ray discs, if the specs will be upped to either 4 or 6 25GB layers. I wouldn't think there would be any ramifications in the hardware specs if they kept the per layer specs the same.
They are, after all, thinking about upping the data rate to 288 Mbps.

No, no, no, you don't understand Lucas.

The first release will be 6 BD-25 disks, one for each ep.

Then a few years later, he'll release 6 BD-50s and throw in a few extras to fill up the space.

He's gotta milk that cow for all that it's worth.

Boy, I wish.

Any kind of title like Star Wars is the kind of shock and awe that BD needs to finish this thing off fast and with authority.
