Since both my favorite directors are dead it's only a pipe dream.

Robert Altman directs Breakfast of Champions (It almost happened)

Sam Peckinpah directs whatever he wants without getting screwed.

I would love to see a Park Chan Wook western. I just know he’s being back fatalism to the genre, and with his blend of offbeat humor, bloody violence, and twisted morality it would be really fun to see.

Give David Lynch $100 million to make a Carrie Page film and just stuff it with every creative inspiration and idea he’s had since he did The Return. Part Lynch creative odyssey, part Twin Peaks spin-off. 3 hours long.

Projects that never happened that I wish I got to see from some of my favorite directors are:

Tarantino’s The Vega Brothers
Christopher Nolan’s Howard Hughes
Tim Burton’s Superman with Nic Cage
Guillermo Del Toro’s Hobbit films with his signature creature designs

Stanley Kubrick's Napoleon movie. Would love to see what he would have done, even though I feel like he got to put some of that time and research he did for it towards Barry Lyndon.

Since Friedkin is already doing a new adaptation of a play, I am happy. Still would love to see his version of August: Osage County, though.

Others on the wishlist:

Giuseppe Tornatore's Leningrad: The 900 Days

Frank Darabont's The Downslope

Coen's Blood Meridian

PTA's Pinocchio

Brad Bird's Man Of Steel
