I prefer the individual cases for each film of the series. The 'Blade Runner' case works for me too. What I don't want are cases like the 'Harry Potter' collection and the 'Close Encounters Of The Third Kind'. I want a consistent flow to my film storage racks.

For me Space saving is always a plus
I like the box sets that match the rest of my Blu-rays, like Die Hard set, Smallville Season 6, Planet Earth, etc… When they go blu I hope Parmount goes this way when they release Star Trek TNG on Blu, Universal too when they release Heroes. I saw the HD-DVDs of Heroes and Star Trek TOS at best buy and they both stick out like a sore thumb. HD-DVD box set of Heroes Season 1 is even bigger than the DVD version and that's not right. |

I prefer a nice box to hold the individual movie cases like The Oceans box set vs. the multiple discs in one case like Planet Earth or Blade Runner. I want a premium box though none of this thin flimsy posterboard crap.

Doesn't bother me at all. The disc is all that's important. I was a bit pissed that the HP box set was so bulky it doesn't fit in my media storage shelf. The Oceans 11-13 box is kinda thick, too.
Die Hard and Spidey was fine for me. Remember when they released Jurassic Park and Lost World on DVD in a 2-pack case? Then with JP3 came out, the studio offered a FREE replacement sleeve for all 3 movies? I have it... it's awesome... even came with a bonus DVD. I wish more studios would take this lead. The good news about the HP box set is that the case can EASILY accommodate the 6th and 7th films. Lots of room in there. |

Warner Bros. also did this with the "Friends" series as well once the entire series was released to DVD, BTW... ~Alan |

I prefer that somewhere on the box set it says Gundam on it.
Im now scared to buy any more gundam on dvd worrying it will come on blue.. course not the original 0079 that should be safe, since I don't think there is a master to make a blu-ray copy of, and that 1979 cartoon probably wont be remastered. Hopes for a Zeta Gundam, 0083, and ZZ Gundam box sets. |
