The Expendables 1 2 3 4k steelbooks

It looks weird seeing the raven without the skull. I associate the skull with the Expendables more than the raven.

Almost kinda wish they did all 3 in one steelbook or a set like Hunger Games. September has too many releases!

With the new one coming out at the end of September, I'd be surprised if they hadn’t done another release to capitalize on it.

For those who haven't seen them: it's fun action starring big name action people from previous years (later installments featuring more recent action stars). It's not high concept that will change your life, but there's worse ways to spend a few hours. Obviously, first one is the best, second one is pretty close (greatr cameo by Chuck Norris), and even Sly admits 3 wasn't great because they went for the wide appeal by going PG-13, which of course they won't do with 4.

I actually saw the panel they did for the first at comic con all those years ago, and Sly has a huge love for these (as with most projects he is personally involved with) and they're a great callback to the action films of the 80s-90s.

And yes, the skull/raven imagery is the group’s logo, though it varied on the steels. Some had both, some had just the skull, and others had skull/gun combos.

I got the same delay email yesterday but then this morning got a message that it's shipping. I think they just sent those out because the Monday holiday is preventing them from delivering on release day as promised.

I got the delay message too, but it looks like only the third movie is actually delayed. 1 & 2 are shipping out today but 3 is flagged for delay. I ended up ordering a second copy of just the third movie for pickup and I'll just return the delayed one if it ever shows up.

Also only have delay on Expendables 3
