I can't believe James Cameron prioritized releasing I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer on blu ray over The Abyss and True Lies!

it's a shame it doesn't have the second commentary from the 88films release cause the director commentary is a bit like the film bad he needed someone to bounce off on.

It’s a MOD release so you wouldn’t be able to get it in stores anyway.

I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer

This title has never made any sense to me. Always? How can you be sure? What if you get in an accident and end up with retrograde amnesia? Or develop dementia?

1. Well, Ben is a ghost in this movie so he’ll always know because of that.

2. The title doesn’t make sense for the second film either. It shouldn’t be “last summer” because at least 2-3 summers have passed since the first film so the title should be “I Still Know What You Did Two Summers Ago” or something.

Titles should have been:

I Know What You Did Last Summer

I Still Know What You Did That Summer

I'll Always Know What You Did That Summer

Even though news on the new film has fizzled out, I really hope the title for it is 'I know what you did 26 summers ago'

I forgot about the new film with Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze, Jr. I still want it to happen, but with Hewitt being 44 I can't see her having a starring role as these types of films are usually targeted to teens and twenty-somethings. Most likely, she'd have a small role or be cast as the mother of one of the teens. A few years ago they were also planning a remake with Victoria Justice in the "Julie James" role. Maybe the new film could have Justice playing the daughter of Julie James (Hewitt)?

Too bad this doesn’t have a slipcover to match the two 4Ks.

I've seen packaging pics here for I Still Know, but just for fun figured I'd share some for Always:

Does anybody else find it odd that Star LaPoint is on every poster and home video cover as if she's a main character when in the actual movie, she never dies nor does she meet the killer?

It's been since 06 since I watched this, so it's been a minute. The movie was very meh. Not the worst I've seen, but it's very much a mediocre DTV quickie. Visually it looks ugly on this disc, and my god... was the director trying to give seizures with the constant MTV style flashy editing? Very 2000's. It's entertaining enough to keep as a completist, and that's being kind.

Now that we have this on Blu ray, how about these forgotten 90s /2000s DTV slashers?

Rumpelstiltskin
Pinocchios Revenge
Cut
Schools Out
The Clown At Midnight
Sleepstalker
