Probably true. This film coming to 4K out of nowhere from a 3rd grade label like Retro Gold is highly suspicious.

At one point I liked them all, but not on my last watches.

NRNS is too hokey and cheesy and Albert Pyun alas couldn't direct traffic.

Haven't seen Uni Sol for ages though, so if the 4K goes cheap I'll give it another go.

Legionnaire is a good film.

I'm still processing living in a world where not everyone thinks that BLOODSPORT is JCVD's best movie. By far.

Although, as per above, I'd pay real £££s for a NOWHERE TO RUN 4K....

Kickboxer and Bloodsport are on the same level. I would just edge it to Kickboxer. Can not wait for the 4K (if it’s done right)

Desert Heat aka Inferno is a hidden gem too.

BLOODSPORT has Bolo. JCVD + Bolo puts it over the top for me. I also preferred the whole "illegal tournament" angle. I enjoy KICKBOXER though and will definitely be picking up the 4K

The more I've been watching Bloodsport lately, the more it's been moving up my top JCVD list. I think I had it in my top 10 for a long time, maybe #5 or #6, but it really does have it all, killer musical scores, authentic HK actor supporting roles, perfect looking fights, amazing location shots, great humor, a smokeshow female lead, Forest Whitaker is good in this, and it's an effortless rewatch, definite comfort feel good movie everytime, and it's even got memes. I also consider Double Impact, Lionheart and Hard Target the same. Those would probably be my top 4 right there, no surprise Bolo is in two of them.

Yeah, thats a great one too ... but just falls out of the top 10 for me. I think 11 would be Karate Tiger and 12 would be Death Warrant

I haven't seen Kickboxer in a really long time, I need a fresh scan of it to reevaluate it, hopefully the uncut version ideally.

1. Bloodsport

2. Lionheart

3. Double Impact

4. Hard Target

5. Timecop

6. Universal Soldier

7. Nowhere to Run

8. Maximum Risk (Natasha Henstridge ftw)

9. Double Team

10. Street Fighter

My top 10 would be something like this. Double Impact has always easily been my favourite.

How anyone could place TIMECOP anywhere above the bottom of such a list is beyond me.

Inferno/Desert Heat would be nice to have on UHD-BD. It's film-based and can be scanned and HDR graded easily. I can see MVD doing that one, since Sony has no apparent interest in revisiting it. It would also be great to have a proper cut/the original cut of Knock-Off, as the final cut released to cinemas was not done by the Director or anyone involved in the project, so a bunch of stuff was dropped from the fights and character bits were discarded entirely. Derailed, Wake of Death, and a few of his other DTV action clunkers were shot and finished on film, just before digital took hold entirely, so they can be revisited for solid 4K releases.

Replicant also looks pretty good it was a theatrical budget and Lionsgate messed up the Blu ray they put out.
