The underwater scenes w/ aliens swimming I have always liked. I think what ultimately hurts resurrection is the unveil at the end in the look of the creature. But, the movie is more than watchable.

I can now imagine that Bull Shunt will be announcing shortly. My industry sources (blu-ray.com)are indicating that not only is The Abyss arriving soon but True Lies will follow. Additionally in surprising news Disney/Fox/ Cameron are preparing to release Aliens. No news on which cuts will be available but as soon as somebody posts on blu-ray.com I will be able to confirm. Then we will have 3 years of nothing happening as per his The Abyss announcement.

The alternate ending of Resurrection was the best part of the film. They should’ve kept it.

Same here. I never got the criticism about the look for the humalien. I’d say it was an effective design, equal parts disgusting and able to sympathize with.

Extras were produced for the scrapped 5 Star Collection dvd. Hopefully they turn up.

Aren’t the extras from the quadrilogy exhaustive? I didn’t know there were features produced above and beyond those ones.

I agree, the movie holds up right until that point where it falls apart.

The alternate ending is better.

if true then I hope unlike Alien they put the directors cut fully in 4k instead of upscaled 1080p inserts!
