Thanks Heyadol. That's interesting if so. Early 2022.
For the Blade game, 3rd person single player as they said, it would be cool if you have to investigate where the vampires are hiding out. During the day, you'd investigate, and then at night, when the vampire emerge to visit the clubs, stalk victims and build their storage of blood banks, Blade would infiltrate their locations one by one. In the first movie, Blade had to check a person's neck to see if they were a vampire or not. In Blade Trinity, he was fooled by a guy posing as a vampire as a set up to frame Blade, which was interesting. Blade 2, he was hunting the Reapers/Strain Strigoi vampires like Nomak. In other words, Blade wouldn't have any special "Sight" button to see who was a vampire or not. He'd have to judge them by their actions, time of day/night, and so on. Hopefully the game takes that into account and it's not only set at night time. Plus some vampires might become daywalkers like Blade. Blade's musclecar to get around the city would be welcome. |

Any Marvel game that started development in 2022 and beyond HAS to be multiplat. Those are the conditions set by Marvel themselves. I'm not making it up. Also, for what other reason would Bethesda have to be so elusive with what platforms this is coming to? If it's exclusive to Xbox/GamePass, they would've said so during the VGA's. There's not a single reason to not make that clear if that was the case.

The reason for why it Bethesda would have it exclusive is bc they are owned by MS and the other platforms already have their exclusive Marvel games. Duh! |

Yet this trailer didn't. Why? Probably because they're still figuring out the multiplatform aspect. And it's not because it's out in 2025 (or 2026). Plenty of trailers still confirmed platforms despite 2025 release dates. |

It's odd MS excluded their logo at the end. That's a huge selling point they missed for some reason. Maybe the trailer was rushed, but apparently the Blade game website excluded any platform info too. Have they done that with other games? Not list their logo? I'm not sure. Marvel Avengers is multiplatform, though I think that's from a 3rd party Crystal Dynamics or something. It's that odd situation of let's say Sony's 1st party developer making a video game for all platforms. It does happen when they port Marvel Spider-Man games to PC, as XBSX can play PC games I hear. As a big fan of Blade, I hope this arrives on PS5. |

Personally i think PS5 release is significantly unlikely but wouldn't mind having it. I'd rather have the next Elder Scrolls which is kinda funny, cause MS was havung articles recently about how they want Game Pass on all hardware including PlayStation, Nintendo etc. but Sony etc. aren't keen on it but that's probably the only way we'd get their exclusives. Personally i'm intrigued by the idea if it did get adopted because then it would just mean choosing your console. Maybe Sony could work out a "streaming" only deal for PS+ as an extra paid service.

I wouldn't mind a timed exclusive at least. I think the ball is still in the air over all the rights, so MS is keeping quiet but still announcing the game. Elder Scrolls would've been nice on PS5. It stinks when games switch sides for a franchise from Sony to MS, and vice versa. I never buy two consoles in the same generation. I don't want all that clutter and having two consoles connected at one time is a hassle besides in addition to computers. |

So that means that Insomniac's Spider-Man 3 (whenever it's inevitably announced) will be available on Xbox?

Cool concept art and suggests it'll be open city.
As far as XBox games, MS probably wants to keep as many games exclusive as possible. Not sure what the reason is, but if you go into the amazon store links above, it shows rows of PS5 games, but about 10 or so XBSX games with no rows. At the moment. Is there really a trickle of XBSX games? |

The version on Xbox's YouTube channel has the Xbox intro/outro animations. If you look at previous Bethesda announcements, the original Prey, Starfield, and Elder Scrolls VI teasers do not have any platforms mentioned in the video, those were all prior to being acquired so I think it is just the way Bethesda does things. Prey mentions PS/Xbox/PC in the video description, the other two do not; we know how it turned out for Starfield and it has been confirmed that ESVI will be Xbox/PC exclusive. None of this means Blade will be exclusive, but if you really want to play Blade with a PS5 controller maybe have a PC on standby.
The Verge has a nice graphic on this topic, I'm sure when there is enough information it will be updated to include Blade. https://www.theverge.com/2023/9/18/2...xbox-exclusive |

I think this will be Xbox console exclusive. If Xbox makes another console AFTER the Series X. I think this is still pretty far out. Probably Q4 2026 at the earliest.
I’m sure if/when it’s announced as an Xbox console exclusive, all of a sudden nobody will care to play it and everyone will mention how both Bethesda and Arkane “suck” now, etc., etc. |

This guy talking below is saying 2027, 2028 for the Blade game, which is 5+ years almost to develop a Blade game? Why so lengthy of time? I don't get that. And he's saying it's XBox Exclusive but that MS didn't bother to let fans know that right away for some reasons.
[Show spoiler] He's also saying XBox will have a new console by 2027, 2028, next generation, which I find very hard to believe, so I'm not 100% sure with this whole scenario. PC would be the only hope I'd have, but I can most definitely say there is no way this game is going to be so high budget that they sabotage the game's audience by revealing it to current consoles only to make it exclusive to the future next gen XBox, which probably won't even happen till 2030 IMO. I'll predict Blade will be completed in 3 years tops, no 5 year development. That seems too far out. PC would be hopeful if not super high-end graphics required. PS5 seems slim, but it would be great to see on PS5 by some miracle. |

So far, we know it'll be 3rd person, maybe like God of War but further out so Blade can handle multiple enemies like in Spider-Man. Then close up when he's firing guns. He'll likely have access to his:
Blade sword Glaive boomerangs Silver Stakes/wooden stakes Garlic liquid Garlic/silver vials Uzi machine gun Shotgun bulletproof vest Muscle Car Possibly his Motorcycle Location: Set in the city of Paris, probably modern day from the trailer. Blade, being a daywalker, better have access to day and night. Day to find resources, clues would make sense, and night to hunt vampires and protect citizens. If this game is rumored to be 5 years away, that would be ridiculous. Just don't even announce the game till it's 2 years away or less. Making gamers wait half a decade for a game is not great unless it was a small studio or something. I honestly don't think it'll take 5 years. |

I'm not a huge Blade fan, but I loved the first two Snipes movies. If the game has a bunch of fan service - like skins and stuff as seen in the Spider-Man/Arkham games , I'd be more inclined to play it.

Yeah, it would be cool to also have an option for different outfit choices.
The classic Snipes Blade, with that flattop hair cut, black trenchcoat, but then I see there is an alternate Blade in the comics, where he's bald and only wears a Vest without sleeves, no coat. Then in Blade 2, his jacket has a red inner lining that looks cool. Blade's abilities include extra strength, ability to jump far and land without breaking all his bones, ability to recover quickly with blood or serum, healing severe wounds. Enemies could be Familiars, who are humans helping the Vampires, including some on the Police force. Then the Vampires, including purebloods and turned vampires. Then La Magra, that was a Vampire god raised by Deacon Frost to become almost indestructible, unless exposed to enough silver/garlic poison. Reapers, like Nomak, with the long tentacle tongue. One hit and the victim is infected with the disease and would turn. Unless it's Blade. I wonder if Blade will have a helper to make the weapons in the game, or handle all that himself? In the films, Whistler was helpful and someone for Blade to bounce dialog off of. |
