Woah... This in 4K?! I'm speechless.
One of my favorites ever. Already have the excellent German 'Zeder' digibook (original art!), but I was greatly missing 'La casa dalle finestre che ridono'. I sure wasn't hoping for a straight to 4k release ![]() Another one I'd love to see in HD is 'L'arcano incantatore', plus most of Pupi Avati's filmography. |

Severin obviously. David somehow came to an agreement with Disney or something. The Cemetery Man title also belonged to Fox.

What is stated in the back cover is for the bonus feature: featurette. It only applies to the retrospective documentary, not the feature itself.

I do think it would be a good fit for Mondo actually, but Jared himself shot it down, as mentioned above. So, regarding "big boys", since the VS announcement for that "Giallo classic on UHD" scheduled for September 2024 changed to "4K UHD debut of star studded 80s giallo", I can't think of another label that could have this for the US than Severin. Could this be one of their Black Friday titles? I thought they were saving (some of) those four cannibal films, others are mentioning another Haunts set, so with either of these, so many heavy hitters on UHD for BF from the same label might seem unlikely. If not, could that be Arrow who have it for the US (with Shameless might retain rights the UK)? Opted not to get the LeChat release (non-english-friendly, but I would have no problem) waiting to see who else has this but now can barely constrain myself. Can hardly wait to see who have this for US/UK. Last edited by gekats; 08-03-2024 at 11:02 PM. |

It has always been a bit of an outlier as a giallo, and I think an argument can be made that it crosses over into folk horror territory with its focus on rural mystery. The second volume of the folk horror box set is most likely going to contain a 4K upgrade of Blood on Satan's Claw (since 88 Films already did a new master, and they share a lot of titles with Severin) and that Japanese cat horror film, we know is coming from. But I would not be all too surprised to see The House With the Laughing Windows in it, too - with a separate release either coming at the same time or at a later date. |
