I've never seen it either but I've certainly heard of it. I think I might need it.

I was hoping for 2 and 3 to be included, I grew up on 2 and 3 (I love part 1 as well but 2 and 3 are freakin nuts) - So much wild makeup in the sequels, glad this one is happening but just was really hoping the trilogy would have been included as a set. But the features are nice, glad that Doc is included! Plus I doubt there is a ton of supplemental material for 2 or 3..

I just watched Basket Case this past October for the first time and loved it. Bought it and the sequels physically right after but haven’t gotten around to watching them and now a 4k is coming. I guess I’ll wait a little longer.

Woohoo! About damn time! Wanted to get the Blu-ray before, but so hard to do so when you see they used a 4K master. They should've just released on UHD from the start.

One of the most ridiculous movies I've ever seen. Of course I'm getting it.

It's so pretty. Love Graham Humphrey's art. Imagine if Arrow acquired The Evil Dead and we got a variant with his VHS artwork? Hnnnnng. Also very interesting that this is a dual-territory release. Who's got the sequels?

I think Synapse still have them in the US. Not sure about the UK. I doubt Second Sight still have them, so it's possible Arrow got them too, and could do UK releases down the line.

Seeing lots of peeps on other sites slagging off the April announcements and being like, "Remember when Arrow released cult horror?" What do they think Basket Case is?

Not sure how I feel about the VHS art. It's not OG poster but a lot of the time the VHS arts are a close second, almost always better than more modern home video art. But I find it...ugly? But it IS in the spirit of Hennenlotter artwork which tends to be goofy. But then this is Basket Case and not the sequels. The sequels are goofy as shit, whereas the original played it more straight horror.

Had the old 4 front VHS release back in the day with this (heavily cropped) art.

still no good if its the first time arrow as released it in the UK you would think it would also be on Blu-Ray as well so its alright if you got a 4K player but most people do have one or can't afford one that means completely useless so yet again nothing.

4K players can be bought for 150-200 bucks for an entry level player. If you're buying boutique releases, there is no reason to not own a 4K player at this point.

Uhhh Basket Case is a $35,000 ugly cheap movie? It's not being memed either. Culturally irrelevant. Arrow s*cks!

I never cared for 2 and 3. From what I remember, they went more the comedic route and were just too silly. I love the 1982 original though. I remember seeing it in the late 80s and being creeped out by it. I've got the Something Weird Video Blu-ray and the Arrow Blu-ray and I'll definitely get the 4K.
