i just binged all released episodes a couple days ago so hadn't been keeping up with interviews and articles. I do remember the catching fly scene (chalked it up as homage to Karate Kid, showing how special, disciplined he is) but not the deflecting bullets, the glowing blood i chalked up to hallucination, being delirious.
I have no issue with the twist, everything - Farrell's performance, the writing, directing, have all just been A+

So aliens walk among us. Lol. I had no idea this show was sci-fi. Caught me off guard. Alright then. Carry on.

Ultimately a disappointing dud. Won't bother with a season 2 if it gets renewed.

I thought it was great. One more season for unfinished business.

What a disaster this turned out to be...zero chance I would watch another season.

Loved it. But they did themselves no favors making it a "big twist" reveal. Should have been an end of episode 1 reveal and then explore both sides of the story from then on out.

I especially liked the tight 35 minute run times. Very rare for a dramatic series.

Colin Farrell made it worth watching.

I thought it was a great show; had so much promise. The twist was going too far and they should have kept it with some type of govt program. Is this a one and done type thing because if not they basically told every person who didn't like the
[Show spoiler]alien thing
not to bother with season 2

Was in the middle of watching the show and I saw your speculation which I wish I didn't because it all tracked and I thought I had been spoiled, but now I wish your guess was right.

[Show spoiler]Yeah the alien twist was too mundane. It should've been either vampires or computer simulation.

Finished it. Didn’t like how it ended, like they were saving it all for a second season they won’t be getting. Also didn’t like the unseen big bad guy that had never been mentioned before, or the good guy we didn’t lean much about suddenly being a bad guy. Also didn’t help that the twist — good or bad — is more interesting than the A plot yet not really given the appropriate amount of weight.
