I'm sure Paramount, Universal and Toshiba are huddling, or likely have huddled on this. None of them at this point, are going to make a unilateral move or announcement. They've stuck it out this long, none of them are going to want the other to look even worse.

My guess is they'll hold a joint conference, or at least release a joint statement, with Toshiba leading off by announcing the dissolution of HD-DVD and followed by Universal & Paramount with general outlines, but no specific timeframe (yet) for Blu releases.

That's how I see it anyway.

What happens if Toshiba pulls the plug before Paramount calls it quits, do they still get to keep the money?
