I have the Sev BD and the 88F BD but I guess I should pick this up.

I hope the BD is remastered. The Sev BD has the worst compression I have ever seen on a BD. It is worse than a bitstarved TV broadcast. On top of that it had SDH subs only.

The old Severin blu-ray had soundtrack issues too with the score mixed much lower in volume than the dialogue on the English track and only had subtitles for the hearing impaired on the Italian. Regardless of which way you watched it there were problems.

Love this film. One of Fulci's Best. Pity they didn't use the original, vastly superior, artwork.

That's the original artwork from the French release.

Has Severin still been unreliable on encodes? I haven't bought any Severin 4Ks in a while. How has their stuff from the last year been?

Can't really speak to their consistency but I watched Cemetery Man in HDR10 and it looked phenomenal, if there were any issues with the encode they were minimal and not visible to me in motion (and I watch films way closer to the TV than advisable, lol).

Quite possibly, and when it hopefully happens, I'll scoop that too

I never got around to buying the 88 blu-ray. Did their release fix the issues with the English dub?

Both English & Italian audio tracks on the 88 are far better than Severin's. And unlike the Severin, the 88 has properly translated English subs for the Italian audio track, too.
Also, 88's encode is way better than the Severin, which is abysmal.

Giving the encoding problems on Severin Blus, I will hold off to see if 88 upgrades it to 4K. Almost bought their standard Blu in the sale last year.

The UHD contains the feature film (with both English SDH and English translated subtitles this time), with HDR bringing a lot of heft to the new 4K transfer from the original negative. You can easily dispense with the prior U.S. release as this is a big improvement across the board; frame grabs in the body of this review are from the new Blu-ray (but 4K ones will be forthcoming).
Mondo digital

I sold my 88 films bluray and I think it was the right choose.
