Maybe Galactus is in it like Thanos was in the first GoTG.

Personally i feel like they would be making a big mistake outside of a slight teaser for Galactus or a reduced role to tie in with the female Silver Surfer.

Malkovich is also in the cast. I wonder who he will play.

You saying it should be full-on Galactus or leave him/them alone?

I meant he's too big of a character to start off a new FF version part of the MCU and can play a major role in other MCU movies set in the Cosmic realm. So just keep him more on the teaser side. FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer might be a hated movie for the portrayal but they kept his role generally to a minimum. Maybe as much as that movies screentime for Galactus for exposition purposes and establishing him to the MCU as an entity.

The mistake of the FF sequel Fox initially made was turning him into that big dust cloud thing. Similarly how Green Lantern did the diarrhea cloud for Parralax. Fans don't want that again.

I feel like if Marvel played their cards right, they could have jigged Galactus into a sequel with The Eternals 2 but make it a good script and set him up as an antagonist of sorts. Although Galactus has a rich history to pull from.

Thankfully we should get a fairly comic accurate Galactus on a visual level. I can't imagine they would drastically change him considering the MCU had no problem bringing in the Celestials.

They are going to pass Go, and go directly to Doom.

I would love some Negative Zone\Annihilus interactions in the first move to build up to Galactus and then Doom but I think they are in Fast Forward mode.

I will speculate when there is a story synopsis. If what was talked about before is accurate it will not matter who the big bad is to start off.

The worst thing Disney/Feige could do right now is burn through top tier villains ripe for team up events and truly big stakes.

Doom is able to be an ever present thorn but Galactus i don't think they can get away with using multiple times. The thing about Doom is that they do have a very rich amount of material they can adapt and sometimes he's not always a foe but a frenemy of sorts in some stories

I think the biggest problem with the MCU has been that because of the high production costs, we may never get to truly see things like Avengers vs X Men or King in Black play out properly. Even things like House of M would have been amazing.

Also, we never got a proper Civil War arc. Had we got everybody established in then it would have been a huge event.

In what way? I thought the movie we got was fine and all, but it had nowhere near the depth the comic gave events part of that run and the brutal nature of some of the actions regular people took against Superheros.

The MCU version is a little softball game in comparison.

Mcu wise Civil War was a great movie. If it would have been called something else and not Civil War I doubt there would be any harping on it. Zemo was great and it introduced Black Panther in a nice way. Also.......Spider-Man......

But they could have still made the movie without Spider-man. But I'm happy he was included

MCU movie could have been way better if they explicitly had Ultron be the reason behind the Sokovia Accords and if they didn't dismiss them about halfway through the movie.

Sadly, they didn't.

‘The Fantastic Four’: Natasha Lyonne Latest To Join Ensemble Of Marvel Studios Movie

Quote:
EXCLUSIVE: Marvel Studios keeps adding to its all-star cast for its upcoming The Fantastic Four movie as sources tell Deadline Emmy nominee Natasha Lyonne is set to join highly-anticipated Marvel pic. She joins a cast that already includes Pedro Pascal will play Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby is Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn is Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach is Ben Grimm (aka the Thing). Julia Garner is also on board to play Silver Surfer while Paul Walter-Hauser, John Malkovich and Ralph Ineson are also on board.

WandaVision helmer Matt Shakman is directing Fantastic Four off a script by Ric Pearson, Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. Production will begin this summer, and the film is set to bow on July 25, 2025.

Marvel Studios had no comment. Plot details are being kept under wraps as are character details.

Lyonne has been on a roll as of late after her Emmy-nominated role in Rian Johnson’s Poker Face, which she also produces through Animal Pictures banner. The series has been nominated across all major awards including the Peabody Awards, Golden Globes, and Emmys, with wins at the WGAs and the TCAs, and is in production on its second season. In addition to starring and producing, Lyonne writes and directs on the show.

As for Animal Pictures, the banner recently signed a first looked deal with Sister.

Prior to Poker Face, Lyonne saw huge success with the critically acclaimed Netflix series Russian Doll, created by and starring Lyonne, which won three Emmy Awards, and earned a total of 14 Emmy nominations including Comedy Series and Lead Actress, a Golden Globes acting nomination, two WGA nods and the TCA award for Outstanding New Program. Lyonne executive produces, writes and directs the series, and served as showrunner for the second season, which garnered praise for tackling weighty ideas like trauma and metaphysics with humor and sensitivity.

2024 marked the release of Animal’s critically acclaimed Netflix Comedy special, Jacqueline Novak: Get On Your Knees, directed by Lyonne.

Next up for Lyonne, she recently wrapped production on Taika Waititi’s theatrical adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s New York Times bestselling novel Klara and the Sun, produced by 3000 Pictures and Sony. The film stars Amy Adams and Jenna Ortega. On top of that she has the upcoming, His Three Daughters, which she produces and co–stars opposite Elizabeth Olsen and Carrie Coon. The film was acquired by Netflix at the 2023 Toronto Film Festival. In 2025, she will lend her voice to Paramount’s new animated Smurfs movie.

How they handle Mr. Fantastic with his stretch ability will be interesting to see, along with The Thing (Rockman/Boulderman).

I'll bet Thing will be 100% CGI, voiced by someone. 0% chance they'll go with a suit in 2025.

I want to see F4 from recent times but it hasn't showed on free tv yet. I heard it's not very good, and the trailers didn't draw me to the theater to see it.

The original 2 Fanatastic Four films are mildly interesting IMO, but could use a lot more intensity IMO.
