Lost Bladesman only has the Cantonese dub? No original Mandarin track? I already have the Hong Kong bluray which has the original Mandarin, but I looked up the specs for this new release and it only has Cantonese?

Not sure where the source for the audio being Cantonese has come from. Neither the listing at the Via Vision website or the email newsletter states which language the audio is in.

The old Icon release is Mandarin.

Alright. Yeah, it's in the database. I'm doubting it now because I haven't seen any confirmation on the audio.

Even though I have the HK version, I wouldn't mind double dipping on this one, but the original language track should be there.

What's with the sound on "The Monkey Goes West"? It sounds like an AM radio playing from the next room.

I compared it to the Celestial DVD, and the sound there is much better. Unfortunately, that DVD is so old it's non-anamorphic, so it's not really an option anymore for enjoying the film.

I checked out "Vengeance of a Snow Girl" and "The Snake Prince" and, while the audio there sounded unnatural and overprocessed, it was tolerable (unlike "Monkey").

Wow yeah, after watching both Monkey and Snake Prince, Monkey is worse.

I really don't know anything about audio, and these are the first disc I've owned with mono tracks. Disabling surround sound helped a good bit on my setup. For whatever reason the rear speakers seemed to be louder/more noticeable than any of the fronts.

Weirdly enough my default settings seemed just fine for Snake Prince. Is tweaking settings usually needed for mono?

This is a great read on the Imprint release of Hero (and others).
Though for anyone with this release, what are the runtimes for the extras?

Australia Imprint Asia titles (Via Vision announcements)

One of the announcements earlier today caught my eye, An Autumn's Tale. Checked later for other releases and was reminded of the UK release by 88 Films (the front cover looked familiar so I'm sure I checked out that release before but forgot about it). Thought there had been a release in the States, but there is no listing in the database (unless there has been one and it hasn't been added).

Haven't decided whether to get the UK release or wait for Via Vision's.

Am I correct that this will be the only in-print, English-friendly blu release of The Wedding Banquet? The Taiwanese trilogy release has been hard to track down for a while... Sorely tempted to snatch this up despite whatever stupid tariffs will do to the price, they're all so hard to find on disc or streaming!

I'm in the USA and considering ordering (and pre-ordering) a few Imprint Asia titles. Does anyone have any recommendations as to the best way to order?

I see that Diabolik stocks some of their releases, but does Via Vision ship to the USA?

YesAsia has this set listed: Ang Lee's Father Trilogy (Blu-ray) (Remastered Edition) (Taiwan Version)

ETA: Looking at a translation of the back of the Taiwanese set, it indicates a 2K restoration, whereas Imprint simply says "presented in 1080p" - so assuming these are indeed the same. Does anyone have any info on special features in the Taiwanese set? YesAsia doesn't list anything so it's hard to compare to the Imprint set.
