I got it from JB hifi for $150 USD ($239 AUD). That is now the record for the most I have paid for any box set - though it contains the equivalent of 8 movies, which helps lessen the blow.

$110 was the original price? If so yes both places are quite high

Though Imprint’s site seems to have had it at about 130-132 US, probably not including shipping costs. Sold out there of course, so not a terrible mark-up if truly “out of print”

I have never seen that for less than $145 USD, and more like $180 in most places with shipping. I bit at $150 (including S&H) which is my threshold for any LE OOP item.

Movies Unlimited has it in stock at 212 - they should activate the March 20% off coupon any day now (they almost always activate ten or so days ahead of time - so it would be 170. I hope they add the next two volumes at reasonable prices for the 20% off deal.

why would you get it for 170 (plus tax?) if you can get it $150 shipped from jbhifi?
I do not think there are many copies left now in existence. I was REALLY hoping to wait until April to get this set almost free in the B2G1 JBhifi sale, but I have zero confidence that this set will be in stock with them by April.

Probably still plenty at the various distributors. My local shop looked it up for me a couple of weeks ago, and their usual distributor still had 100+ copies in stock.

That said, people should probably not sit on this. Usually, when it is listed as 'out of stock' at Imprint/ Via Vision, it means it is OOP and they have no more to ship to customers or to distributors. So, what is n stock at the distributors and shops is what there is left.

I just want to give a shout out to JB Hi-fi. It turns out they had none in stock. Rather than simply refund my money, they went to their physical store, found a copy, and is shipping it to me!

Normally the sets in the physical store are not used for online inventory. Separate stock, as I understand. So the rep did not have to do this and went out of her way to help get a copy as she understood it is now OOP.

She is also keeping any eye when my item ships, so she can refund the GST to me!

Truly outstanding support and JB has become one of my favorite importers of Imprint.

Just wanted to share.

It's not used for international online inventory. They will continue to sell the item using store stock to anyone in Australia who orders.

I can only relay what the rep told me. She said it was not just for international online, but they had separate warehouse for any online orders. Maybe because I am in the US and not in Australia? Anyway, just happy I am getting the item!

That is technically true. There is a separate online fulfilment warehouse and only that ships internationally. When that warehouse runs out, the site defaults to sending out store stock, and it only allows that for Australian addresses.

FYI- TOA #4 just arrived from JB Hi-Fi. I was a little nervous as the outer package was a cheap, thin plastic wrapping - something I would expect from Amazon. Thankfully, underneath that was a nice thick cardboard box, undamaged, with the box set packed inside with some bubble wrap. I got a pristine copy so very happy.
