I’ve always thought this movie was visually rich. The mill, the caves, the creature. If done right, this should be a stunner.

Always a plus to hear from others who appreciate that gem. I'd rank it only behind The Texas Chain Saw Massacre when it comes to Hooper's films, and I love that man's work. Plus, pairing it with this one gets you the ultimate SK workplace from hell double feature. Back when I worked at a distribution warehouse, we'd pack textiles every now and then. I'd joke with co-workers that if they really wanted to work somewhere horrible, try a textile mill. Not because I ever worked at one, but because of Graveyard Shift, lmao.

Even with the 4K coming, I just rewatched this last night for July 4th. The grimy characters, oppressive workplace environment and unpleasant vibe are so much fun. I like my horror bleak and ugly.

This is one I saw when I was way too young, lots of imagery from it permanently burnt into my brain. The flooded out graveyard, the rats, the creature itself. Saw it recently, not the worst but definitely not good lol. I’ll get it on sale.

Oh, that's... quite the disappointing slipcover. Is that a new artwork for the movie? Was really hoping for the original art to be on the slip. Ah well, it is what it is.

I agree. Usually, Shout Factory keeps the original artwork on their 4K slipcovers, so this is indeed a disappointment.

I also agree, the original art was perfect. We didn’t need the rat artwork.

I hope this doesn’t mean they are going to waste money on new cover art for 4Ks when what they have been doing is fine.

I guess I'm in the minority in that I love the slipcover art and think it resembles something you'd find on an 80s paperback?

Love King and I've always been curious about this one (despite its reputation) so I'm tempted to pre-order... but also, it's Kino.

The two King pieces that impacted me the most as a kid, and which I found myself re-reading repeatedly, were....The Shining, and Graveyard Shift (from Night Shift). I also loved the Night Flier (from Prime Evil). All King is good King. Same with Edgar Allan Poe and HP Lovecraft.

Graveyard shift and It for me...read them both over and over...The graveyard shift was also one of the first titles on vod from my cable Co back in 90-91, prompting me to order it again and again, and I mustve gotten yelled at for like a year on that one

This is Kino and I don’t like the cover.

The skeleton art is what I think of when I think of this film.
