It should not be a mistake; the Walmart edition comes with character cards.

I am surprised/ disappointed to see so little interest in this gem. I was unfamiliar with this until I got the Bluray release, and I was immediately a fan. A fantasy film second only to The Princess Bride imho.

This looked beautiful on iTunes, so I’m stoked for this 4K disc. I’m beyond excited to get this in a gorgeous steelbook. Those colors on the Amazon one are just so darn pretty.

And I know it’s a hot take, but I vastly prefer this over The Princess Bride.

I saw this in theaters whilst vacationing with my parents and siblings. It was the last full vacation we had as a family, so this movie really holds a special place in my heart.

Walmart had 2 copies on the shelf this morning when I was there. Very nice looking steelbook but both copies had loose discs so I left them. Might try another store tomorrow.

The two copies at my store had loose discs in them as well. I still bought one anyways and crossed my fingers. Both discs are fine but it only has one hub so the discs are stacked and the middle part barely fits them so don't think it's designed to actually fit two discs.

This is slightly unrelated, but did your store get any steebook copies of Bad Boys Ride or Die today?

I wonder if stores are getting that one along with Stardust.

It's not on the new release mod for our store. Just the 4K, BD, DVD, and the collection.

Question for anyone who might know - Does the regular Stardust 4K steelbook (same cover but wide release from other retailers besides Walmart) also have stacked discs, or is that only for the Walmart exclusive due to that having art cards inside?

This survived in a white basic mailer from Amazon and had a few packages stacked on top of it. I half-expected a Snowdrop Flower on the inside protecting it, lol. It’s unscathed except for the fact that it doesn’t stay closed. Oh well. That’s why I have sleeves.

Did your version from amazon us actually look like their mockup? With the wall and the unicorn on the front?

The character cards are actually not inside the steel. They are on the back between the steel and the j-card. They are small enough to fit inside though. So no idea why the discs are stacked

Hmm... interesting indeed.

I am trying to figure out if the Walmart version is the only one with stacked discs as I'd like to avoid those even if it means regrettably missing out on the art cards.

Hopefully, more members can chime in and let us know what theirs looked like.

Here is the regular edition (Found it in store at Barnes & Nobles); I just noticed the art on the WalMart version is diffrent! Am dumb!

Mine doesn't close either. Screw that noise, It's getting replaced . And if the replacement copy doesn't close it gets sent back again. I don't accept brand new broken stuff.
