UHD size should be nice for those who got it, but only 34 GB on Blu-ray for such a long movie seems low, they could have really maximized the space on the disc. Hopefully the encode does the film justice, at the least it should be better than anything on streaming... as long as the encode doesn't suffer banding or any other problems.

I just remembered that I'll have to remux English subtitles too.

I'm still annoyed about the aspect ratios though lol, I wish both aspect ratios were available on Blu-ray.

Why is each screenshot in a different resolution and what's with that awful jpeg compression? What is the point of posting them when they clearly don't reflect the quality of that actual disc?

It seems to me that you have never uploaded any screenshots on this site. The reason behind the compressed jpeg shots is the limitations imposed by this site (see attached). The original Blu-ray shot is about 2MB while the UHD’s is about 9MB. When one uploads a screenshot, the site uses some algorithm over which the uploader has no control, to compress it. These jpeg shots are representative only. If an awful, compressed jpeg shot looks fine, the original uncompressed must be excellent.

Your screenshots are also causing this thread to be hard to read because of the width.

That's why you:

1) Use imgur to host screenshots, and use the img tag - no filesize limit, and they'll automatically fit the width of the forum, with the option to expand

2) When you have a lot of screenshots, put them into spoiler tags, to reduce horizontal scrolling of all the screenshots

Is the Telugu track on both the Blu-ray and the 4k in 5.1 or are they in Atmos. Thanks!

In the BDInfo screenshots from rajkapoor, the Telegu tracks are shown to be 5.1 on both discs, with the format as DTS-HD MA on the Blu-ray and Dolby TrueHD on the 4K.

From my understanding Atmos is in a Dolby TrueHD container so I was wondering if it was in Atmos in a Dolby TrueHD 5.1 container, I’m not sure why they’d not have DTS-HD MA on the Bluray but a different codec on the 4k if it wasn’t in Atmos.

UHD is Atmos. It says on the disc. Also confirmed it in my HT.

Was anyone able to get a copy of the rental Blu-ray? I know that people were able to get them, I tried to find one but wasn't able to. I'm just curious if the encode on the retail disc is identical, or if there were any differences.

Will be picking up my copy of the retail Blu-ray from the post office tonight after work.

Can anyone confirm if the 2160p disc has the audio in all original languages with no dubbing?

RRR UHD has only two audio tracks - the original Telugu and the dubbed Japanese.

Sorry I'm aware of what the track is listed as but there are other languages in the film (that in some releases are dubbed) so my question relates to the other languages such as the English spoken parts - are these in English or are they dubbed.

You mean the occasional Telugu dubbing over the English dialogue? That's just how the movie is, nothing can be done about that.

In the theatrical DCP (in America at least) the english dialogue was not dubbed over in Telugu, however the only place before this release that had the Telugu option in Atmos had some english dialogue dubbed over in Telugu. For some reason the stereo option on Zee5 from what I remember didn’t have the English dubbed over.

I tried it. It sounds fine to me. I’ll give you my full review after I have watched it. But first I need to remux it with English subtitles and a 5.1 Hindi track.

I got the disc in yesterday and tested a few scenes out and the disc looks amazing. Super sharp and colorful, there are some overblown highlights but I'm sure that was the intention. I tested the Atmos as well and it gets great height channel usage, the surrounds do get vocals in some dialogue scenes which is also present in the 5.1 track. I'm wondering if it's just my disc or my system but in the final fight scene when Bheem leaps out of the water with the spear, the song seems to harshly cut to a more "tin" sounding effect. I'm not sure what caused it because it is present in the atmos track as well as the 5.1 downmix in the Telugu track but if I switch to the Japanese track the song doesn't do that. Same with streaming, on Zee5 it doesn't do that, again it could just be my disc or system so ill have to wait until someone else confirms.

Same issue when I played it in my pc to check quality I'm about to ask about sound when Bheem lifts the spear the sound shifts like thin and in climax it's sound perfect again and i also checked Bluray which has DTS HD 5.1 i played the same scene there is no such issue does anyone faced this issue with Atmos track?
