If it's like last year's set, we won't see an individual release until the following year.

As much as I want Breakdown, I'm content with the current disc until it gets a standalone release. Of course, I'm interested in Friday the 13th Part 2, but it won't have OG audio and going by the first film's 4K disc, I'm not optimistic. I'm not interested in any other titles and selling them won't cover the cost of the rest of the set, minus Breakdown.

This is such a stupid strategy.

Exactly. It’s objectively not a horror movie. It’s a thriller, and its inclusion in this Scares box set is beyond dumb. I actually did a double-take when I saw the contents list

Last year if I recall all of them except Sweeney Todd were already released or announced. This set is definitely doing things differently. Might just grab it if it gets a crazy discount.

The movies unlimited sale might make this worth it

I echo the sentiment of others that they should have given Breakdown and Friday 2 their own individual release vs. trap them in a boxset with two other movies I don’t want.

But the price is fair so I’m getting it lol

Will wait for the solo release of Breakdown, what a bizarre boxset.

The most desirable here is Breakdown and Friday the 13th part 2. I already own WwZ on 4k but would actually be first time UHD purchase for the rest. I’m also worried they would make Friday the 13th part 2 look as bad as part 1. What to do?

The most absolute random ass boxset. Definitely won’t be picking this up, but I will be interested when they release these titles separately.

Major complaint is, you buy the set and then Fri the 13th Part 2 ends up looking as bad as their Fri their 13th 4K disc which was a completely fried blown out whites transfer from hell.

Way too much of a risk.

Precisely. I failed to include the fact that fans will be re-purchasing some of these titles on 4k uhd anyway, and ditching these sketch Paramount efforts half-heartedly slapped together here, the very minute a better quality release eventually rolls out from a different firm sooner than later. F13 Part 2 and Breakdown certainly both deserve a better uhd release than what Paramount is without a doubt going to dish up here.

Sadly, Paramount likely would’ve made a lot MORE money here by dropping these same titles with individual releases, in both standard and steelbook editions. All they’d have to do is call them Ultimate Edition 4k sets and simply include original audio and decent encodes/mastering. They could’ve even rolled them out at a slightly higher price point for such upsides, say $27.99 standard, $34.99 steel. But they’ll never learn from some of their competition. Rinse, wipe, repeat. Not a lot of brainpower steering that boat. Thank god they love to license out 4k rights, and at least are still attentive to their solid back catalog.

The only one to not be distributed by Warner Bros. overseas.

They're really gonna make me buy this to get Breakdown and Friday The 13th Part 2?

Bad form Paramount, bad form.

Breakdown already has a very decent looking blu-ray, so for anyone looking to own the film, I'd suggest that. I believe it's part of the 'Paramount presents...' collection.

It works out to $17.50 a film, so not a bad value. You could probably resell some of the ones you don't want for that amount, if not more, plus the packaging/tat too (heh tattoo), to net what you want for a great price.

This whole set sells for way less than the paramount presents Blu-ray of Breakdown currently sells for on Amazon and EBay. I’ll gladly buy this for sure. Hopefully World War Z gets that 7.1 track that the Shout disc was missing.

Nope don't this so - the itunes release which I purchased right away to see if the same HDR issues showed up again BUT MUCH better transfer - assume the disk will be very similar - just higher bitrates - THE HDR implementation was 1000 times better compared to the blown out whites of PART 1
