Not to get too far OT, which I usually tend to do, LOL, but, X-Files is my wife's favorite show of all-time. She has an X-Files tattoo in Navajo on her arm.

We love the Black Panther movies, but...yeah..We are having a difficult time adjusting to the idea of a re-boot, even if we know he will do a phenomenal job.

I believe he has said it will have more of a horror vibe, so, I'm curious to see what he comes up with. Looking forward to seeing Sinners.

ANYHOW...sorry, yeah...It's cool to see him establish himself across different media.

Man I've just never have gotten into Riri Williams. She lacks any kind of hook besides "kid Iron Man". And this REALLY should have been released closer to Wakanda Forever.

I think genius or superpowered youngsters can be a lot of fun when they are well written… just look at Spidey.

Therefore I hope the character of Ironheart will be well-written

according to Flixpatrol is Daredevil Nr. 5 on the Disney+ 2025 charts.

When ist comes to Ironheart, mhmm I already hated the hip hop Musical and the cast felt very unlikeable. I don't know yet if I give this show even a try.

I also didn't like Wakanda Forever.

Getting the feeling that a lot of folks who, until very recently were, like "Ryan Coogler can do no wrong" are very soon going to be attacking Ryan Coogler for having produced this...

I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to these Disney+ + shows, but the quality is all over the place, much like the majority of the main films after Endgame. The issue is with a lot of the main characters whose names the show is based on is either usurped or replaced as the lead.
Iron Heart is just an Iron Man derivative. I know the comics, but honestly, does any care about the comic book I''m guessing not really. Ms Marvel had a side character who was a tech genius. Tony Stark was one of a kind, a tech maverick, now most of the D+ show's have their own version.
Ryan Coogler, I've only seen his two Black Panther films, which are decent but surely this is like when old horror films had produced by Wes Craven on them as a selling point. Did he direct these episodes or just produce them?
Hasn't this been finished for years now? If so, doesn't that normally mean the distributor (Disney) doesn't have that much faith in it?
I'll watch it I'm not familiar with the character, hopefully it will be decent time will tell.

Ryan Coogler Explains The “Energy” Of ‘Ironheart’ Marvel Series

The official trailer for Marvel Television’s Ironheart has arrived. Starring Dominique Thorne, reprising her role as Riri in the MCU in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the series is executive produced by acclaimed filmmaker Ryan Coogler.

“This show has an energy to it,” Coogler described to Marvel. “I think people will take to that scrappy optimism and that desire to persevere.”
“Riri is definitely in conversation with a street-level show like Daredevil,” Coogler continued to tease. “You’ve got characters trying — both heroes and villains — to make do with what they have. Then you combine that with cosmic Marvel, characters who would be at home in Doctor Strange or WandaVision. That [mix] of street-level Marvel and magical Marvel is a pretty crazy combination.”

According to Marvel, the series is set after the events of Wakanda Forever. Ironheart follows Riri as she returns to her hometown of Chicago, determined to build a state-of-the-art iron suit and make her mark on the world. After spending time in Wakanda, she has left more eager than ever to pursue her dreams, and her quest entangles her in a dangerous world of science and magic.

“That comes from publishing,” Coogler explains. “It was very quickly realized that she was her own character in her own lane. There’s a difference between [Riri] and maybe a Captain America or a Black Panther, where a mantle is being passed. This is a character who was obviously influenced by Tony Stark and inspired by him, but she is also very different and doing her own thing.”

He continued, “It’s this young woman who has this chip on her shoulder and this armored exterior, but inside, she’s just full of love. If that’s not Chicago, I don’t know what is.”

“We’ve been waiting so long to bring this to the world, and it’s coming at the perfect time,” Coogler boasted. “I’m so proud of everybody in this show and excited for folks to get to see it.”
