Can anyone vouch for imprint? Especially their 4k releases? I'm not an imprint collector , I have two blu releases , and this is a hefty price tag. I just threw down 250 smackers on a ebay item and Amazon yesterday. So I kinda need to wait 6 days until Im flush again. ( i hate being an adult) that gives me 6 days to make a decision assuming it hasn't sold out. If it does sell out, I guess it wasn't meant to be.

The restoration featurette on the Warner release is not about the international cut, but the original restoration of the longer German cut (which had a lot of DNR) and therefore should not have been included.

Good point, but I doubt it. The fact they don’t seem interested enough in the films original Stereo track for the US and only giving the international cut stereo in lossy DD format… nice set, but they aren’t concentrating on the films as much as they should.

I’m very apprehensive and while its a nice limited case… I think more work has been put into it than the films and it’s a gamble with their encoding.

I’m passing on it, just cause they are not making any effort for the audio options.

Sadly a crappy US release will likely be the US cut only, no German version, and a single 4k disc only, no blu-ray, and no extras (missing the documentary and 70+ minutes of deleted footage).

I got a sense of FOMO so bad on this that I bit the bullet and shelled out the cash even though this is a film I like but don't love. I'm justifying it to myself due to the supplements that likely won't get carried over by WB, plus the fact that this is possibly the first VHS I ever owned (it's a toss-up between this, Santa Claus: The Movie, and Mickey's Christmas Carol).

I have the 4K UHD German version from Constantine Film. How is this any different? I think only PQ comparisons would make me want to buy the Imprint over Constantine Film.

Then pick up the single DE UHD. It's cheap and has the extended cut.

If you're in the US, the amount is less in US dollars.... probably comes to around $200, with shipping included.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. The Constantine Film one is German cut only. From what I can see, there is a score change, missing song in the beginning and different/extended scenes here and there

I don't know. The press release only states that the international cut has been restored by Imprint. So maybe it's the same (with German titles and everything).
