Disney Insider ending December 4th, 2024

Speaking of overstock for the most part, it does looks like they are just getting rid of what they have left. I had 40k points and of course there's nothing worthwhile left, so I opted to get these blu ray mystery sets, along with the Marvel Studios mystery set. I ended up getting about half of them in 4k. (Lightyear, Elemental, Shang-Chi, Doctor Strange, Maleficent, and SW Rise of Skywalker)

I've been holding out for hope that some 4k movies will show on the Redeem page.

It's good to hear that they're giving them away in the mystery bundle.

I had 27K. Was just holding onto to until I saw something interesting. What a shame to screw those that had large balances. I most redeemed some junk, but now I wish I had taken a chance on a statue a while back. If I had known this was going to happen, I would have used it on a nice Christmas gift for a family member. Ridiculous on what they have out there now

Yeah I have over 40K and a bit frustrated with this again like Universal I put all this time in saving what I had, when there are many moments I should have spent it.

Now I'm waiting for ANYTHING to peak my interest but I still want when it comes to physical media to be at least 4K.
I'm interested in the many figures that do come up but they sell out fast.
Seems like a lot of what I would be interested can't be shipped to the US.

But everything available just seems like junk to me.

Adding to the disappointment. I had been holding out for a while (over 80k) and managed to burn most of what I have left but ultimately not on much that was especially cool considering some of the statues or other more decent stuff I passed on. Too bad they didn't go out with more of a 'bang.'

In part ended up getting that blind box which had a 101 dalmations blanket, a weird Beverly Hills Chihuahua plush (which my daughter had a fondness for as a youth so she got a kick out of), a Lion King lithograph, and a small charm.

Bunch of movies were added today. Several Marvel, some Disney. Looks like most are just Blu-Ray, not 4k though.

Edit: Picked up Shang Chi, Pocahontas, Mulan for Christmas stocking stuffers.

I was down to less than 4k points, so considering myself done now.

Of course they add movies I actually want, after I spent my points on mystery movies and got one I already owned.

Same. I wound up getting Solo, The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker. I own all 3 already. The only upside was Rise of Skywalker was the 4K.

Best one I go was The Force Awakens 3d Collectors edition. But don't own a 3d blu-ray play or tv any more and own in 4k

I was lucky enough to snag Thor Ragnorok in 4K

Managed to snag a $50 Disney gift card a few days back. (6500pts)

Disappointingly, there isn't a whole lot in the Disney store. Not even blu rays.

What were you thinking they were going to add in the last few days of the program that it made sense to hold onto 50,000 points? The writing has been on the wall for weeks (months?) that everything was being cleared out.

I ultimately cashed in my last 8000 points for a bunch of "mystery" BDs, nothing amazing but still got a surprising number of of films (and even one TV series) I wouldn't have otherwise owned. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but should never have waited until the bitter end.

Even some of the digital activities are out of stock.

They allowed charitable donations in the past. I know they don't have enough physical stock to fulfill everybody's redeemed points, but donating to charity would be a good gesture for both parties involved, even if Disney has to pay for it.

I only mentioned the Blu-rays cause they were the last of the physical items they had been offering.

Those mystery Blu-ray’s disappeared as an option for me over 2 months ago.
And even then I already pretty much own every Disney bluray and 4k produced.(that’s why I have so many points) So I wasn’t even looking to get more Blu-ray’s

I figured they were going to atleast have digital gift cards available till December 3rd.
No reason they couldn’t still offer the giving to charity rewards or the Movie and tv show poster, gift cards or even digital copies.

And yes they were adding items on pretty regularly weekly up till a week ago.
But the problem was it would only let you redeem one of those items every 24 hr.

Definitely not handled as well as universal handled the shutting down of their rewards program. Or as good as Sony is handling theirs shutting down.


At the end of the day it is what is, it was great while it lasted, and nothing wrong with venting about the lack of rewards before the final day.

That's fair, I guess. Sounds like nothing else you would have been able to benefit from anyway, and already owning everything is definitely a good problem to have!

They just added on a few more gift card options.
They had a $100 dollar one but I was 5 points short for that,
They also Added a 50 dollar one, a $10 dollar one and a $5 dollar one. It’s says up to 4 on each, but you can only claim one of each of them in a 24 hr period.
So I did redeem for one of each of those. Now leaves me at 8,005 points.

Hopeful they will add a couple more between now and 6pm HST tomorrow.

The gift cards can also be used in Disney parks though, on merchandise, food and beverage. So if nothing else your next visit to a Disney park you can use it on that. Thankfully they’ve added a few more gift cards today (sold out again now though)and hopefully they will add a few more gift cards in these final hours.
