I don't mind it. I've kinda grown fond of the big head/character collage posters. For example, I generally prefer the theatrical posters over whatever art they put on the Marvel steelbooks these days. Though I would've proffered the key art with the facehugger on this one.

Am I the only one who genuinely loves the artwork they chose for this steelbook? haha

I think it's great! It reminds me of art you would see on VHS tapes from the '80s.

My last post was meant to express my surprise to some of the more negative reactions to the artwork, reactions which are totally fine by the way. Everyone is welcome to their views, of course.

I guess I can somewhat see why some would make those comparisons, but even if that was the case, it's not necessarily a negative for me. There are other films which use a similar style for the poster art like the last two Dune entries for example. That style is not exclusive to Star Wars or Marvel.

But I am also not exactly sure what "looks" like Aliens art since the various entries in the Alien franchise have all had different styles of artwork for their posters over the years.

Honestly, this steelbook artwork reminds me more of the Aliens poster with Rain holding the pulse rifle like Ripley.

Looks awesome to me. I didn't really like the movie but I'm still thinking about the steel because it looks so good.

The steelbook looks pretty good. Not great but, not a disaster in my eyes. I'll definitely be picking up the steelbook, or standard 4k when available. Really enjoyed the movie, and can't wait to watch it again at home.

Hard pass. They got the interior right, though.

Fits with the overall movie: seems like they fed an AI a prompt to write a sequel to Alien, but to toss memberberries for ever single other Alien movie, but forgot that even AI doesn't count the Prometheus duo, so it added an extra prompt for the third act.

But forgot to allocate more resources to the AI art resource side of things so we got stuck on the wrong side of the uncanny valley again for the deepfake robot.

THIS is what the steelbook should have been. The red scheme would have been reminiscent to Fede's Evil Dead Terrget exclersive steelberk.
