No, it's a MOD release:

Lady from Shanghai is another MOD with Digital, so I guess it's still possible, if not likely Legends of the Fall will be one too.

Definitely an excited day one purchase for me and it’s gonna look gobsmackingly beautiful, you just know it.

It's a popular movie, Glory had an international release and is similarly popular and of the same era. Oh well, here's hoping. I'll import if I have to.

Excited that this is getting a 4K release at all, but as a European I have to say the amount of MOD releases Sony is doing is a little disheartening. Importing discs is obviously easier than ever but it's still relatively cumbersome and expensive. I can't imagine this film wouldn't sell well abroad, either. Maybe Eagle or ESC will pick it (and hopefully Little Women and Adaptation.!) up at some point.

I guess Sony has now fully adopted the terrible practice Warner and Paramount started and is no longer including standard BDs in their 4K releases, much less remastered standard BDs, which this title -- like most old catalog releases -- could really use. When Warner and Paramount started this, I quit buying their products. I guess Sony will join that club and will no longer be getting my money. Before this trend started I bought a lot of 4K releases that had remastered BDs specifically for the remastered BDs. Sad.

We're paying way more and getting way less...

On another note, are Sony's MOD Blu-rays and 4K discs burned or pressed? I can't seem to find a definitive answer on this.

It's called shrinkflation and it's not just a physical media issue. Such is life and economics unfortunately.

Sony's MOD 4k UHDs are proper pressed discs. I have several

Up until this year I was unfamiliar with Edward Zwick's game. Pick up Glory though and it was fantastic.

Will grab this too.

I wish Courage Under Fire would get some 4K love.
