No idea why Paramount are doing combo packs again, but unless this is just temp artwork. I have a feeling it will be 4K only along with Transformers One, because I know when Paramount will officially update the artwork on both.

The gore in this was top class however where the first one had some coherence this had none.

They made some questionable decisions in
[Show spoiler]the third act
, I'll give you that. But that ending creates
[Show spoiler]many possibilities for a third film...

It just was a bit too 'all over the place' for me! The ending was good though and yes I agree with you!

Honestly, this one's in my top 5 of the year. I was so surprised with how much my girlfriend & I enjoyed it. It actually felt like the movie was taking you for a ride on a rollercoaster, constantly making you wonder what's going to happen next or even what's real. I liked the Flatliners sub-plot, just wish it weren't revealed in the trailer. I hope that's expanded upon in the third film. Parker Finn did an incredible job with this one. Naomi Scott made for a fantastic leading lady.

Totally worth the 2 hour drive to the Dolby Cinema. Heading back there in a few weeks to catch Heretic!

If people just want it on Blu-ray and they don't want 4K, that'll be too much for people to pay for, hopefully the next Paramount film doesn't happen like this.

I don’t see any price difference between combo packs and not, so I’m happy when I see a BD included, unless it is some old trash disc.

Like why did Paramount include that shitty Scream 2 disc? Yeah yeah, extras. But then they skip including a remastered first film as well as the third film’s coaster.

I hope this one is better than the first one. I thought the first was unintentionally hilarious, and mostly boring.

The trailer for this look OK though.

I pre-ordered.

I also finally got the original Smile on UHD, and am planning to watch it near Christmas, or maybe after, since we don't know when this is coming out. I want it to be within a few weeks.

Let's hope Finn improves his commentary dialogue from the first film.

The malevolent curse from the #1 original horror movie of 2022, SMILE, is taken to shocking new levels in “the scariest movie of the year by a mile” (Dave Morales, FOX-TV), SMILE 2. The box office hit arrives for purchase on Digital November 19, 2024 from Paramount Home Entertainment.

SMILE 2 will also be available on Digital as part of a two-movie collection with the original SMILE and will arrive on 4K Ultra HD, in a 4K Ultra HD SteelBook®, and on DVD on January 21, 2025.

Hailed as a “terrifying masterpiece” (Shahbaz Siddiqui, The Movie Podcast), writer/director Parker Finn’s SMILE 2 ratchets up the horror with a “razor-sharp and inventive” (Meagan Navarro, Bloody Disgusting) story that takes viewers on “a wild, terrifying ride” (Joey Paur, Geek Tyrant). The film is Certified Fresh™ with an 86% Critics Score* on Rotten Tomatoes® and has been praised as “one of the best horror sequels ever made” (Jonathan Sim, Coming Soon).

Fans who purchase the film on Digital** or 4K Ultra HD will have access to over 40 minutes of heart-pounding bonus content. Hear from cast and filmmakers as they break down the film’s most intense moments; go behind-the-scenes to see how the make-up, prosthetics, and visual effects bring the nightmare to life; check out deleted and extended scenes not seen in theatres, and more!

Bonus content is detailed below:

  • Turn That Frown Upside Down—Meet Lewis, a friend of Skye, and get an in-depth look at the gruesome make-up and prosthetics behind his terrifying smile.
  • Show Me Your Teeth—Explore how the filmmakers captured the uniquely horrifying car crash.
  • Deleted and Extended Scenes

Synopsis

About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.

SMILE 2 is rated R for strong bloody violent content, grisly images, language throughout and drug use.

I felt the same. It was a good idea for a ten-minute short that was stretched into a tedious feature. I do want to check this out at some point, though.
