Pretty sure some comments online stated that the original masters aren't available anymore.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the powers that be just don't think they would see a decent enough return on Space Precinct so decided to go the AI route to make it cost effective, and also test the waters for future AI releases if this one goes down well enough?
I've got the old Image R1 DVD set, which annoyingly includes ad bumpers at the start and finish of each act. Picture quality wasn't great either. What I've seen of this remaster in promos looked pretty good for an upscale, but the proof of course will be in the final pudding.

I actually emailed them this morning asking if they had an ETA on its release after having originally been February, they responded saying before the end of March so fingers for next week.

Funny thing is to get 10 percent off I set up a new account with an Email which I now can’t remember. So I can’t find my order number or even track my order. Whoopsie. I’m sure it will be all good come next weekend but the nails are starting to bite

Looking forward to seeing reviews when this gets out in the wild.

I've not had any shipping notice yet but hopefully I'll get round to revisiting this series before too long.

I ordered it from gerryanderson.com when it was first announced and, even though it's listed in stock, my order hasn't shipped. Has anyone's?

Seems like they only just received stock the end of last week so fully expect orders to start being processed this week.

Eagerly awaiting feedback on this one. Hoping the upscale results are better than what previous youtube samples have suggested.

I expect the encode on the discs will be better but it will still be the same underlying AI upscale remaster which has been available for the last few years on ITVX.

Yeah most likely.

I checked ITVX last night but saw it’s behind the premium layer so couldn’t sample it.

Received no dispatch notification but my copy just arrived from Anderson Store.

Sadly they opted for a jiffy bag and its taken a knock so the outer box and digi-pack are dented and some of the discs were loose but not scratches to them thankfully.

Mine's been sitting in Wolverhampton for 24 hours with no sign of movement so most likely tomorrow and not today for me.

Edit: Nope, arrived. And sans damage

Got mine today, looks like it made it through without damage.

I'll open it up after work but the boxset looks quite wide, I was assuming it would be thinner but hopefully that means there are disc trays in there instead of horrible card sleeves (PTSD from the later seasons of The Simpsons dvd boxsets).

I'll try and take a look at the episode quality compared to the Network release later on, I'm not expert on that sort of thing but hoping it looks more palatable to my eyes.

I used to have the individual releases too but got shot of those as I thought the Network quality would be better (I don't think it was).

I can confirm the set uses plastic trays to hold the discs, you can just about see them in the package art they released (its upside down to showcase the art but you can see the plastic trays on the underside)

Just had a quick look, put in the first disc just to check out the intro, I thought it looked alright, we know it's AI upscaled so trying to ignore that fact when checking the quality.

I only checked on a smaller tv upstairs as I'm working but it looks better to me than the Network picture quality, I only switched discs to compare the intro, though personally I was surprised how bad the picture was on that previous DVD release (I wasn't impressed with the DVD quality at the time when I got it a few years back).

On first impressions I'm happy enough with the set, the fold out art housing the discs looks decent. The paper money is completely pointless as I assumed it would be either thick card or some sort of laminate but it's just flimsy thin paper. The poster is cool and the booklet is something I'll read when I get round to watching the whole series.

Worth playing properly when you get home.

Anderson’s social media being deluged with posts saying audio lip synch on this is ****ed across multiple episodes.

HMV’s current inefficiencies played into my hands as I was still able to cancel as they hadn’t charged me yet.
