In retrospect, it was right not to hire Spielberg for the first film because he wanted to combine parts of Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets into one movie. The decision not to give the job to Spielberg made Warner Bros. an extra $878,988,482 (the wordwide gross of Secrets).
