Now I don't feel so bad after hearing about the DUD thing. Once I took a girl I had known for a while to the now defunct Circut City two years ago. She was just buying a CD. But along the way, I thought I would show her the new TVs. And she said "Why, there are all the same, its just a new look to get people to buy something new. They are no better then a regular TV!" A few months ago, 2008, she did get a new set, a 4:3 LCD. Her DVD player is hooked up through the composite video - and you know - she is right, the new TV looks the same as the old one!

She is just a girl I know - she has her own place and boyfriend. I onced explaind in a few words how HD works. After that, she had the ball, the rest was up to her. In my place we have five 16:9 HDTVs, and they are all hooked up right. She invites me over from time to time to her apartment for a party. I must admit I have to drink a few to get used to seeing that white, red, yellow video conncetion going into the side of her set.
