We need the DNR rolled back and a better encode. I don't remember this one being as bad as Showgirls but I might be misremembering!

I don’t remember any DNR at all, only the crap encode
I can well imagine that a better encode unearths so much more detail that’s already been there in the master.

So.. this is not just Lionsgate reusing Studiocanal's discs like other releases of SC from Lionsgate in the US? I thought SC was pretty complete in terms of extras.. I see new ones.. a 1993 commentary? Laserdisc extras?! Wow..

If they do a standard (if they do, which i doubt) they'll remove all of those wont' they?

It's there alright but it's all over the place. One scene will look fine, the next a waxy mess, and so on. The colour weirded me out more than anything tho, it's like some bizarre two-strip Technicolor look.

Definitely gonna sell the SC one and grab this at some point anyway.

I thought the transfer was fine; I had an issue with the typical yellow-green filters with SC, but surprisingly watching it with DV on TV I didn't think it was that harsh. I've seen worse.
