If the new master is such a strong upgrade as with Hatari it’s obviously a no-brainer, also when Paramount titles are involved as they’re seemingly still unwillig to license their titles to international labels. I would however trade a poorly encoded HDR version of a title like Uncle Buck for a much more consistent BD. After having seen these caps I decided that this is how I’ll do it with KL in the future if they release a separate BD next to the 4K and differences are that significant.

I would say that has more to do with Paramount’s restoration than encoding.

“You see these shoes?”
“LaRue’s?”
“No but I’m sure he would’ve loved them.”

I never bought the original release of Hatari because it was so bad; I’ll definitely be picking this one up. Uncle Buck looks like a improvement as well so I’ll be grabbing that one.

Like Dailyan said, I think Stalag 17 is at least partly to do with the master,

I saw this one in the theater when it came out and the roach vomit scene gave me a syndrome.
I'll probably watch it again though cuz I haven't seen it since then.

Confused why it's taking them so long to do Gung Ho and Radioland Murders. Were announced months earlier than this

Unbelievable slapstick classic. One of those movies that just is a real world Looney Tunes. Day one, full price, clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.

I’m happy for the U.S. collectors, but as someone from Spain, this really bums me out. I wish Paramount themselves had released it, with global authoring like they've been doing for several titles whose Blu-rays never made it to Europe or Spain, and which they fixed with the 4K releases. The fact that a local studio is handling this killed any chance of getting this great movie in Spanish or any other European language. At least so far.

I'm glad this film is getting released on 4K. It's the first movie released by Dreamworks, and it does a great job of switching from the point of view of the mouse to the point of view of the humans.

"I don't think we'll be seeing any more of that MOUUUUSSSSSSSEEEEEEE!!!!!"

Without "MouseHunt", we wouldn't have "Shrek" or "Puss In Boots" or "How to Train Your Dragon".

Actually, The Peacemaker was the first feature film from DreamWorks (September 1997), then MouseHunt (early December 1997) and then Amistad (mid-late December 1997).
