People using early/mid 2000 consumer grade cameras is popular again for a lot of content creators (and just 90s/early 2000s tec in general). Maybe it can give this film a new life/make it feel perhaps even more relevant than it was when it came out

I am going off memory from some behind the scenes but given the budget they used DV so they could work quickly and edit effects cheaply. SINCE DIGITAL HD was not a thing yet except maybe Star Wars.

It was aesthetic more than it was practical - they had already made Vaccuuming Completely Nude In Paradise and Strumpet for BBC2 in exactly the same way.

Update from Zavvi:

“We’re reaching out to let you know that when this pre-order initially went live, the product listing and image on our website indicated it was a 4K UHD & Blu-ray release. We've since been informed by the supplier that this information was incorrect.

We’ve now updated the website to reflect the correct format, 4K Steelbook only, and the release date has been changed to TBC at the supplier’s request while we await further clarification. Please rest assured that the product will still be released—this is not at risk.

If you wish to cancel your order, you can do so easily through your account on our website.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Best regards,

The Zavvi Customer Service Team”
