So now I have purchased the older Target steelbook, the 4k slip, and preordered this new steelbook with DV disc, and I STILL haven’t watched the movie!

Good question. I seem to recall reading somewhere here that this release would have DV and possibly other improvements. The steelbook review opens with this, however, which to indicate that it's simply a repackage. I'd also like to know which is the case.

"Sony first released writer/director David Ayer's harrowing WWII drama Fury on 4K UltraHD in 2018 as part of its early foray into the format. This is the same 2-disc release, albeit packaged in a handsome SteelBook, though that's hardly a criticism as the 2018 edition and its top tier audio and video remains a stunning addition to any collection. PM'd Ken (which I should have done originally first) and he said he did not notice any difference from the previous release. I already have the Target better steelbook and the previous 4K so will skip this edition.

MifuneFan posted the press release (on the first page here) and it mentions Dolby Vision. I wonder if something changed. Sony has been adamant about these DV steelbook releases and I was looking forward to it. We will have to wait for somebody else to chime in when they get their copy.
