It really does, very similar color scheme to Asteroid City specifically.

Gotta love Kino's pre-release announcements. Coming late 2025-2028?

Kinda disappointed in myself for ignoring that film when it came out. Every other kid was wearing a 'Vote for Pedro' shirt then and I guess I was too cool for school on trendy things at the time. But it's such a great movie. Not many can seem to pull off a PG rated film aimed for a teen to young adult market.

I couldn’t get into this movie. Never a huge Jack Black fan either. He is ok, I just don’t go out of my way looking for his movies. There are a few I like, but not this one. May have to give it a watch again one day. Still, happy for this release because lots of people love it and it builds the 4K library.

This movie has the potential to look GREAT in 4K DV if done right. I'll def pick it up at the right price point.

Give me School of Rock too!

Wow, surprised this got a 4K release before Napoleon Dynamite, but I’ll take it!

I saw it when it was a limited release screening tour, so it was kind of cool seeing it blow up from there. It was definitely everywhere for a while though.

Hopefully they include the Deleted Scenes from the trailers and tv spots there’s a lot of missing content filmed before the reshoots happened which made the film shorter and simpler…

Dude, yes, please. I wonder why Paramount didn't do it for the 20th. The Blu ray is already so dated, colours so dull.. ugh, it's a DVD-HD. Even the Theatrical Trailer on the disc looks better!!!

Love this movie, hope that Kino can also get their hands on the 4K masters for Snow Day, Jimmy Neutron, and the Rugrats films.

Those're likely gonna be in-house Paramount discs to be honest if they're even in the pipeline. (The latter two specifically)

If anything Snow Day is most likely for a Kino release. Rugrats and Jimmy Neutron are too valuable of IPs to Paramount for them to pawn off to Kino, if they got pushed to ANY label they'd most likely be given to Shout given their previous ties to releasing Nickelodeon and Paramount stuff.

Funny thing, I just finished watching my HD-DVD of this movie. Even its ancient VC-1 encode looks great, thanks to the direction and cinematography. I forgot just how beautifully it's shot, every scene has so much texture and warmth. The 4K will be an instant purchase, no doubt.
